Hello -

Okay, now that I've had some time to play the demo for a couple of hours I can still say that the change in the difficulty from Easy to Medium is huge. On Easy it seems that you can strike out batters with more frequency. Hitting is much more forgiving for the User as well. On Medium it's very hard to strike out batters. The CPU seems to swing and hit everything ala MLB2k9 pre-patch. Also, the CPU seems to make tons more diving catches and Legendary catches than the User even gets to attempt.

All this being said, the BIGS 2 is still a stellar game. It's so much improved over last year that it is just down right silly. The graphics are incredible and the gameplay is still easy to pick up and play. If there was a better balance between difficulty settings I think it would be even more "Legendary". Now, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I may just suck at this game, but I'd like to think not. I'm 30 years old and have been playing baseball games for years. I'd like to think that I'm pretty good at most of them. For some reason Medium difficulty is hard for me. Maybe my fast twitch reflexes aren't what they used to be now that I'm in my advanced years! All-in-all, I hope you give this game a try. Blue Castle did a marvelous job and should feel proud in their work and achievement. I hope to see some of you online for some great fun!!!

also gotta remember that they are all-star teams so every batter is tough. I think with normal teams, it would be easier to strike out batters on normal mode.

I just played the demo and loved it. It has everything that was good in the first one, but improved all around.

Once you keep playing, you'll get a lot more "perfect pitches" and that is key to striking batters out. Every pitch should be in the green zone on the meter. I was getting crushed, but after 3 games, I bumped the difficulty to hard. This game is so very unique and clever. There was obvious care in the making of this game.

I've already paid for my copy but can tell that I'll get upset at what seems to be too little time to make Legendary catches.

I like the gameplay tweaks, but I don't think it was a good idea to use all star teams.

Players that were dissatisfied with 2K9 may be very turned off about how extremely over the top it is, with home runs every other play.

Its supposed to be extremely over the top. ITs an arcade style game.

Anyways, i just played the demo, been busy and well, i had a blast. I got my behind handed to me the first game 15-2. Then won the 2nd game 9-7. I didnt really know what i was doing. NOw i know how to do legendary catches, so i should get alot better.

It's a good fun game, cant wait to get a copy of the retail version. I will be online playing no doubt about it.

I get what you're saying here. Think cramming all legendary players in one line-up kinda ramps up the scoring. But you guys get the idea of facing regular lineups.

Yeah, at first the game was killing me, like double digits to 2 or 3. But I read the tutorial. It helped out a lot. I agree that the infield Legendary mini-game was hard at first, but it's a timing thing as well as watching the circle around the button. Personally, I played a lot better with Cliff Lee than Linecum, even though he has two Legendary pitches. Move the pitches around and make them enhanced perfect pitches (top of the meter and press button again as PERFECT turns blue) and the strikeouts and easy fielded catches come with ease. The only thing I can't do is get home runs that even the outfield can't get. But this game is great. It actually made me better at the first Bigs game!

just takes a little practice. the legendary catches minigames are designed to be challenging, but after practicing a bit you'll get the hang of them.

Also, keep in mine that, using the All Star teams, allows more use getting involved with the new features of the game and its legendary system. Anyways, upon playing more, I've had scores that were quite low.

First of all: I hope the price stays at 18 pounds in England! Because I just played the demo and:

Second: WOW! WOW! WOW! This game is fun. I still need to learn to field better and others but other than that the game is purely awesome. I think the controls are rock-solid and I've had 3 extremely close games in a row (Easy, of course *lol*). They were all so cool! This is also the first game the grass looks B-E-A-Utiful

BUT third and all the things I don't like, which are only minor details, really: the grass seems to lack in frames or something because the grass AND the dirt flicker a lot... I also don't like the pants: they look extremely... I don't know... generic? Not even close to being as detailed as the upper body. And the last thing I don't like: I couldn't really see any signature style pitches... but alright... as I said: it's minor. Other than that: Commentary: A, Graphics A, Gameplay A+, Sound in general: A+, Fun A+++

I hope the career mode or anything else won't be a letdown... because this game looks sick! Well done, Blue Castle Studios!

Honestly, Become a Legend Mode is what makes the game for me.

yeah, I just won my first game on Medium 12-3, all 12 runs coming in the first *lol*... but I still give up a lot of hits... timing really IS everything in this game...

I still love it. BTW: when will the review embargo lift? I wanna read impressions about the complete game ;)

I have a question: On 2 out of 3 take out slides at second the second baseman got hurt. Will those injuries in Season Mode be only for the game or will this be a catastrophe like in 2k9 where you have to turn off injuries not to lose half of your team?
