Whats a easy way of doing this? im in japan and i need to steal a base. i only got 2 points on my guy for speed. Is it something with the timing? i should steal right when he is throwing the ball right?

Yes, I would say that is the most effective way to steal. It works successfully for me a lot, but occasionally it's just plain luck really.

It's not based on luck. It's about choosing the right pitch to go on, having speed, etc.

Hi, I got a steal last night with my 2* speed guy. One of the best stratigies for this is to steal when you have turbo and the opposing pitcher has none. This will eliminate the pitcher throwing a turbo pitch when you run. Push the steal button before the pitcher begins his wind up, then hit the turbo as soon as you guy takes off. One thing that helped me was to tap the A button while your guy is running so that he will begin to slide as soon as it is possible. Something to consider also is the arm strength of the opposing catcher. If his arm strength is pretty high try getting into a close play at the plate where you can run over him. If you hit him hard enough to injure him you could knock his arm strength down from a 5* to a 1 or 2*. That may be just the slight edge you will need to beat his throw.

All very good suggestions. You'll start stealing bases like mad once you get it down.

Sweet another Rockies fan. I live right in the middle of Denver. Anyways, I did it the same way as you for my legend mode. Run into the catcher and injure him.

Using turbo to get more speed while the opposing team has none (so the catcher doesn't get a turbo throw) is the easiest way to do it. Another thing to do if that's not working is to have one of your player purposely run into the catcher (if you're pretty good at winning those battles) and (as long as the opposing catcher doesn't have the "can't be wounded" attribute/power up) you usually take down his arm rating a couple of stars making it easier for you to swipe a bag.
