Looking for response from 2K Sports admin about jersey selection

I posted about this yesterday and have been roundly ignored.

Despite being horribly disappointed about MLB2K9 (I wanted The Show but I have a 360...only game in town) the one thing they do right is give you a ton of uniform options, just like in the real majors. I gave The Bigs a chance and am IN LOVE with the game, but can't understand why you can even select jerseys if all you get is white or grey and some dumb unlockable throwbacks. Fielder is on the cover of the game in blue, I want to have some variety.

Obviously, this doesn't ruin the game for me, but it would break up the monotony to at least have downloadable jerseys in a future DLC update. As a sports uniform enthusiast, I like the game but think it is lazy beyond belief to ignore alternate jerseys in 2009. I WOULD EVEN CONSIDER PAYING FOR THEM.

any response from someone in the know would be appreciated, and I will continue to support 2K Sports.

I doubt youre really being ignored. Looking today and yesterday, I dont think these forums are overly active at this point. The game is too new. I wouldnt expect any DLC any time too soon either (not immeditately). I would much rather have a nice current roster update. I also know that there are several unlockable jerseys to get during the Become a Legend mode. I unlocked the Nats throwback Expos jersey last night. I thought that was very cool. The blue Brew crew jersey may be available to you, just not yet.

I just read your old post and I do know what you mean. I do also hope that the true alternates are available somewhere. I am not big on the Rox purple jerseys, but I would love to have the black sleeveless jerseys that they wear alot.

There are a lot of unlockable ones, but I am sure a few are left out. I don't know if any DLC outside of roster updates is planned, but I could be mistaken.

Thanks Ron. It isn't so much that "a few are left out", it's that any CURRENT jersey will be white or grey, period. I'm not really huge on throwbacks, but it's neat they are in there. It's just really weird to ignore the 30+ alternative jerseys that teams sometimes wear more than their "normal" white or greys.

this isnt the 1st time ive heard ppl goin on bout the alternates but ur rite variety is needed bcuz white and grey will get a bit borin and alternates are used at least once a week if not more in the majors plus with fielder in the brewers alternate on the cover kinda begs the question of why arent thy in game if there on the game

I no the Reds alternate red uniforms are amazing! And they dont have it :(

Yeah I'm angry that they wouldn't put alternate jerseys in the game...I mean you guys bothered to put throwbacks in, why not the ones that teams actually use now?

Hello evryone... It's the best game ever...in most cases, you can only buy it online. Very hard to find at stores..they only have one top spin game out for ps2.. Now top spin 2 is out for xbox and wii...top spin 3 is out for ps3..i just bought top spin 1 again and should receive it by next week....well i already had top spin 1 long time ago, but my game broke..i tried playing online before but no players online..what interest me to buy the game again was this forum....i see alot of ppl looking for players to play tennis with them.so ppl get ready for online play...i know not that many ppl play, but they will now since i'm here...i'm gonna tag every single chat room promoting this game....be on the look out for me next week...it's time for some t-ball..

It's good to see this thread has gotten some attention since I abandoned it and that I'm not the only one bothered by this. No it's not a HUGE dealbreaker omission but it really takes alot out of the game for me. If I am spending $60+ on a game it damn sure better have the most basic features every other game in it's genre has.

I don't think having alternates is too much to ask. These are jerseys that are consistently worn throughout the season by most teams and by now should be a standard in most games. The White Sox have their white home, road greys, and black alternates. They are each worn about equally. It's not like people are complaining about their favorite players incorrect facial hair/mole size/ear piercings/jawline.

The alternate jerseys would be a very nice addition, and I can second the motion that I'd be willing to pay for it as DLC to a certain extent.

I have another jersey question. Is there anyway to change the jerseys of the team you're facing? I've tried to in become a legend, season, and exhibition modes to no avail. I seem to recall reading somewhere that it was possible though, so if any one can clue me in, it would be greatly appreciated.

This is my one big problem with the game. I'm a Braves fan and the Braves wear their blue away alternate uniform almost exclusively on the road. Please add a DLC for alt uniforms and maybe even updated rosters.

i agree soo much. there are so many cool uniforms out there being left behind. the pirates black ones, the mets black ones, the angels red ones. No reason to be mean to the admin. But this should be something they add and if anyone with power is reading this PLEASE add it
