I like this part of the interview most: "We also added a ton of sliders this year, because that’s an area where you can customize the game to your liking. You may want to see more Superstar moves or less of them, or maybe more stick lifts or not so many."
Having the ability to actually control how often the AI does a Superstar move or attempt a stick lift is good thing. Unlike in 2K9 where if you set the offense slider to high they would do superstar moves every time they had the puck.

Do you have to be a member of teamxbox.com to see the whole article. My article stops on the first page in the middle of the word Franchise?
How are you guys attacking the all-important online functionality of NHL 2K10?
Ben Bishop: One way in which we’re doing this is by making the online play portions of 2K10 much more integrated. In the past, you’d have to go to the Xbox Live menu, go into Quick Match or into whatever other mode you wanted to play. This year, we wanted to break down those laws and make the ability to play a friend or even a random opponent online that much easier. In any mode that has a standard team-select screen, you can now immediately challenge an opponent from there. So, right when you boot up the game, when you get to the team-select screen, you can choose to play an online opponent, invite a friend or just go on and play against the CPU. This extends to Franchis ??????

I hope they have added a slider that determines how aggressive the Cpu Defense and Offense are. For example with Defense I hope you have Physical and Positional. Offense something like Drive the Net or Work The Puck around. This way you can have a happy medium.

Thanks, Savoie06. Page 2 was even more encouraging. I had just about given up on 2K hockeyafter what I considered a very disappointing 2k9 but now I'm anxious to look at 2k10 more closely. The words make me optimistic; hopefully the demo will underscore that feeling. I strongly believe that adding even more sliders is a huge step in the right direction. That's an area -- versatility/flexibility -- where EA still lags behind.

Yeah, I agree. Lets just hope they are useful and effective. Having the ability to control the amount of Superstar moves and Stick Lifts is definately nice.

More sliders is music to my ears. I'm especially glad they're offering Superstar moves and stick lifts sliders. I'm not too worried about stick lifts being overused but more the Superstar moves. No doubt that, while cool looking, they could be way overdone and thus instead of being unique they become ordinary.
Good job adding these new sliders.

Looks great. More authentic equipment. I love the yellow laces, way more realilistic. The players look far better than 2k9. I hope CAP is signifintly improved. It needs better graphics. You cant see what a stick looks like when you color it. CAT has enough logos, but make more options. At least jersey color and pattern.
