Stumble shots will increase the amount of shots on goal I get. I already get about 60 per game and without getting checked in the middle of shooting I would get about 80. I hope the improved defensive controls and smarter AI will counter this.

I love the idea of "GM Personalities." Hopefully this will make trading and signing free agents more realistic. No more of, "Hey I have 85 defensive d-man and you (cpu) have a 87 scoring forward lets make a trade, even though you have absolutely no use for a d d-man, but I need your scorer and since their overalls are close you'll be dumb enough to take the deal."

So far the nuggets of information that have been released are, obviously, very encouraging.

Me too. I also want to see the new gameplay improvements such as AI and stick lifts in action.

Agree man, the defense in 2k9 was simply horrible even with 100 on defense sliders, i hope tgey fix the poke check AND the backward skate. With LT pressed we should have more control of the player and not have a quicker and impossible to control player! I really hope they finally end with the dpeed burst button and make it automatic, while they donīt make that they will be always one sted behind EA.

If so I don't agree. EA's game is flawed in the sense that you are almost always at top speed and it's too easy to reach top speed. Players at top speed NEAR as much as they are in EA. Of course this could be countered somewhat if the increased the neutral zone pressure. I like the fact that 2K has it and that you can adjust it to your liking. The controls should be improved in 2K10, but that remains to be seen.

I donīt think that way, the players in EA are not on full speed all the time, they only accelerate after a period moving straight into a direction, pretty much like the speed burst on 2k9 but we donīt need to press a button for that the entire game. Another advantage is that we have a main free button for controls and one thing less to worry about.

I think it brings more balance to the game in stead of be a thing that people exploit specially online (like in 2k9). Also if you believe the game becomes too fast there are sliders to slow it down but a button to speed up is something that should be ripped off on 2k10, itīs a quite simply thing to do (if done right) but makes all the difference.

i like to have full control of speed burst, or as would be described in real life "sprint"

there are times i want to move slow for an extended skate in one direction.. i want to control when my guy start hustling, and when he kinda dead legs it down the ice.. because im either playing a passing lane or dead legging it trying to stay in a certain position for whatever reason

I donīt think that way, the players in EA are not on full speed all the time, they only accelerate after a period moving straight into a direction, So you are saying that they accelerate and then what? As long as you are pushing up all the way on the Analog are they not skating at full speed with or without the puck? I don't worry about the extra button to have to push. I like feeling like I have more control over my skater and all players skating at essentially the same speed most of the game(EA) doesn't give me that feeling so much.

I agree with you to an extent. I like both ways of speed burst. EA's is simple but really arcadey as in don't lose speed on turns and such. 2k's is a tad more complicated but I lose speed on turns which is realistic.

Nice find. Stumble shots sounds good. Improved franchise. Does this include no freezing?
