Is it possible to have a fantasy draft in an online league or are you stuck using the standard rosters for each team?

sorry to ask the dumb question but what is 2k share?
What I am thinking is I set up a league and before it starts I hold a live draft, a la (cbs sportsline, espn, fox) fantasy hockey, where each league member selects a player until each team has a full roster then start the actually online season. Is this possible?
That is what I kind of always envisioned an online league being basically just an extension of fantasy hockey where rather than just stat watching you are actually in control of the team.

will 2K share come in to play with on-line leagues? will we have the option of playing on-line leagues with injuries "on?"

i thought i heard fantasy draft is back.. its in nba and mlb now... we should have it also
i took some of the stuff ive read too mean that 2k share would work with online leagues... thats the assumption i made.. possible wishful thinking i guess
