My whole purpose of this is to have a league that everybody plays every game and not have one quitting after a few games. I can understand concerns about scammers and I respect people for wanting to protect easch other.... However I want to let everyone know you do not have to play the paypal league pool if you don't want too. You can just play the first year and then quit and not have to worry about anything. And I would let one of the moderators on this site to hold the money. There are alot of scammers out there true but not everybody is a scammer.
This is an online league for the xbox 360. I am going to make an online league and will be giving out cash prizes for certain awards and winner/runnerup of the stanley cup if your interested you can put your gamertag below and will add you to my friends list and will contact you when game comes out. You must have paypal for cash prizes. Its the safest way all I need is your email address to transfer the funds no personal information is needed. Only if you are serious in playing and making sure to be on to play games need to apply in this league this league is meant for hardcore gamers and to prevent players from quitting the league.
My gamertag is B1GR0B7
Prizes will be as followed ~
Stanley Cup Winner $50
Runner Up $25
Each of the major awards won by team/player $10/each
If this league is successful and if your interested in doing so I am going to make a money pool where everybody throws in $20 and will make the prizes better next time around. I am doing this with my own money to hopefully gain trust and to hopefully make a fun league with hardcore hockey fans.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY TO JOIN INITIALLY.. FEEL FREE TO JOIN UP, SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT, THEN DECIDE TO PUT SOME MONEY DOWN ON IT

There will be a vote if there will be a player draft or default teams if we play with default teams I will have a vote if the cash prizes will be given out the first year or second year to give teams time to build.

If interested in this league please feel free to add me to your xbox friends list B1GR0B7 The I is a 1 and the O is a 0 as in the number zero. I am usually always available for voice chat and up for playing games :-).
Hopefully this is successful and hopefully the mods know there is now way this is a scam if one of them is holding onto the money. I don't even know if will have enough players for the paypal league pool play anyways so lets just worry about the 1st run around and go from there :-).

if you run a good league you wont have to have the money as a hook to get people to play their games... The love of hockey, and the fun in the competition will drive that
i personally was in a league at one time that accepted donation.... I and many other guys donated small amounts of money to cover the costs of website expenses and www.leaguedaddy.com fees (a site you might consider advertising at).... yadda yadda yadda, this guy ran off with over $1000.00
we had all been playing together for a year.. we where running a lot of leagues in many different sports.. I guess it got to the point where the guy saw all the money and got greedy all of a sudden.
so... i dont want to call every post on craigslist a scam... but a large percentage are.. good luck to you in your venture.... Because you are allowing guys to join for the first season and not participate on the pay side, Ill allow the thread.. But 2k has a strong no solicitation policy for their forums. You are walking a fine line on this topic, i hope you can appreciate the position 2k must take on activities occurring on their forums
I'm checking out some information.. pending some things being confirmed, this thread may be removed at any time

This was actually an idea from a friend named E3 Hamster and he said he is tight with 2K sports not sure if its true or not you would have a better idea since you are part of 2K sports and can ask around and he even said me doing a pay league like this that 2K sports might throw in games/prizes etc. Thanks for allowing the thread for the meantime. If you have to close it I won't open another one again. I understand and respect whatever you decide.
Well yeah I agree with what you say alot of people will stay in a league but alot of times if they lose again and again some will quit I was just figuring a league with some awards for like MVP of the league etc would keep these people in the game.
But for those that are worried about scammers I am more then happy to have somebody from the 2K forums that is trusted to hold the money.
I have been scammed before so I know how some must feel on this but don't think there would be a problem if somebody like you or another person that can be trusted can hold onto the money.

First League you dont pay anything but I do need your paypal email address to send you money if you are one of the winners. This is the safest way for all cause I don't need any info of yours other then your email address. If you don't have paypal address well I am sorry but for your protection there isn't much I can do. I can either distribute your winnings amongst other winners or give your prize money towards a donation.
We are gonna see how this league goes if its successful maybe somebody that can be trusted on this website can be the money holder for future leagues.
