Drop Glitching

Forgive me if this has been addressed, but to my knowledge, it hasn't.

Has 2k:
#1) Finally acknowledged that there is such a thing as drop glitching?

#2) Provided a solution to this issue?

This would be a top priority that I would issue to a developer during the conception of the new version.

What is "drop glitching"? Is that like when somebody disconnects from the game and you get a loss for it or what?
