Okay, Wake was in first period right? But they got their rectums ripped by the Fighting Illini right? So what good are the rankings if the #1 ain't number 1?? Guess we got the wrong people ranking huh? Illini are going to embarass a few people this year. MAKING DAT NOISE FROM ILLINOIS BOYS

well last time I checked, UNC WASN'T #1...

Didn't they already lose a game too....yeah that's what I thought.

By the way, I see you got a link for Kentucky in your sig. That's cool. I don't like the Kentucky team per say, but being from Tulsa, I like and respect Tubby.

OSUmike03
December 13th, 2004, 09:30 PM
Plus...this Coach K guy has really got it bad...

I mean look at the teams in his sig!

Detroit - do they still even have a team? Sure doesn't look like it.

Atlanta Braves - Nothing like a team that gets to the playoffs every year, then chokes in the first round.

UNC - see situation above.

I'm very bias since I love the jayhawks; however I think the team including the bench will help them win it all this year and I think Simien will remain healthy this year

OSUmike03

Kansas has a weak bench....if one of their starters go down, they have no one to take his place. To go deep into the tournament, you have to have a superb bench that can step it up when a player is out, or having a horrible game. I have yet to see strong evidence from them.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they aren't good, but compared to a few other teams in the top 10, they and UNC have pretty weak benches.

krzyzewskisucks
December 15th, 2004, 04:17 AM
UNC has a weak bench???

QT- Come tournament time will have enough experience to be a good backup for Felton
Noel- 10 points and 6 boards against Kentucky, gets almost as much air as King James
Marvin Williams- Best freshman in the country, averages 10 rebounds and can score very good
Jackie Manuel (if Marvin is starting)- Best defender in the ACC, also can score efficiently
Melvin Scott- Starter from last year who can hit the three and dish
Reyshawn Terry- Needs improvement but is much better than last year

We have a lot more depth than last year, when Manuel and Noel were our bench players

OSUmike03
December 15th, 2004, 11:52 AM
We??

I didn't know they let kids play on the team. Let me know when you are either on the team, going to the school, or have graduated from the school so that you can call them, "we"...

Sounds like we're both saying he is not a good coach....

Any more questions?

Since OSU just pointed out that all my teams aren't that good, then I'm NOT a bandwagoner, I cheer for Jacksonville in NFL, there not the best, and Detroit Shock in WNBA, there not the best

well here are my teams.... I am such a big bandwagoner

UK Wildcats in basketball and Ohio State buckeyes in football.

My dad is from Cleveland,Ohio but went to UK... so that is what I grew up watching.

Pro sports- I follow the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Cleveland has not won a championship in ANY sport since 1964.

Cleveland sports:
Last world series win: 1948
Last super bowl APPEARANCE: Never

Just because you like a good team doesn't mean you are a bandwagon person. But jumping teams, or riding your "favorite" because they are doing bad IS bandwagon.

I have been a St. Louis Cards fan for my whole life, I have liked the Falcons since 98, and have been an OSU fan, and GO THERE...

Now I like the Cleveland Cavs, but it is just because of LeBron...seeing how we are the same age. So yeah, THAT is bandwagoning.

I see you are a Buckeye fan. Are you looking forward to the battle of the OSU's at the Alamo??

Lakers

btw, 7 National Championships, I believe it was you who said we didn't have any bench. Check this out

no...it was me who said that. And I didn't say you didn't have a bench, I said UNC didn't have a good enough bench.

And that article shows that they have a pretty decent bench, which I already knew. But to get a national championship, their bench will have to continually step up, and pray no starters get hurt. They proved what can happen if a starter is out, by losing one of their first games when a starter was out...

krzyzewskisucks
December 16th, 2004, 05:02 PM
Roy Williams can breathe easier knowing he has one of the deepest benches in the country.

Seems like that is enough to win a championship, I think we've got a shot to win it, no one is guaranteed, and the SCU debacle was weird, sure we can all blame it on the fact that Felton was out, but we played bad, if we went to them again, with no Felton, We'd still win

I am still not convinced of UNCs bench.... no matter what an article says. When Felton is out or on the bench UNCs offense goes into a funk. That is a fact. The tarheels front line is also really thin. Noel is a true 3, he can spot at the 4 but wont play extended minutes there. A three player rotation between Williams, Williams, and May can be bad if one or all players get into early foul trouble.

ok ok... hold on. Keep in mind that the title the Piston's won was the 2004 NBA championship... aka they are the defending world champs. That gives them immediate bandwagon status.

The Braves have won the NL east something like 14 years in a row. That again is a call for bandwagon status. Winners attract fans.

You cant honestly tell me that UNC is not a bandwagon team! Every time I go somewhere I see some idiot with a big tar heel cap on or someone who has donned them self in that powder blue from head to toe. It is a common sight. UNC has a large bandwagon fan base.

krzyzewskisucks

yes, Detroit won in the '03-'04 season. Bandwagoners say they like a team but don't really know the team well at all. you want me to give you the updates?

Detroit-
Lost Corliss Williamson, Mehmet Okur, and Mike James off the bench. Obtained Antonio McDyess and drafted Ricky Paulding with the last pick in the NBA draft. Most recently beat Cleveland and held LeBron James to 11 points while Rip Hamilton had 21

UNC-
7-1, Lost Justin Bohlander off their roster when he decided he didn't want to play basketball, Lost J.R. Smith to the NBA and Jameson Curry to Oklahoma State when he pleaded guilty to drug charges. Are currently 7-1 with their only loss being to Santa Clara. Leading scoring is Rashad McCants with 19.1 PPG.

Braves-
Got Tim Hudson by trading Charles THomas, Dan Meyer, and Juan Cruz (who was my favorite reliever last year). Got Danny Kolb from the Brewers so legendary closer John Smoltz has moved back into the starting rotation. Lost J.D. Drew, Jaret Wright, Russ Ortiz, and Paul Bryd to free agency, resigned Julio Franco and John Smoltz. Could possibly get Magglio Ordonez or Sammy Sosa.

That can be a bandwagoner... but I would also consider someone a bandwagoner if they only pay attention to a team when they are winning. If they are losing they switch to another team.
