I have just bought my son the XBOX since I have ps2 ESPN ONLINE it lag so bad but the game was so good I bought it for Xbox live NOOO LAGGG NOOODROPS the game is truly amazing.I am still going to play ps2 hockey on line because I am in 2 leagues BUT XBOX is ment for online play AND IT DELIVERS..NHL RIVALS comes out in NOV. THEY say its the best but we'll see.THANKS SONY for making a diehard playstation gamer switch to XBOX..WELLLL until PS#3 comes out/////

the problem isnt sony or ps2 its sega. they dont run the servers on live and its lag free. blame sega.

xbox definatly owns in the online section of their games. but i still think ps2 is a better system overall.

Prowler stop being so dumb.
The PS2 is not the problem. Go play PS2 Socom or just about any other online title. All the games are fine online.
The only games with consistent issues are the ESPN Videogame titles.
Just because this is not an issue on the Xbox doesn't make it a better system, it just means this problem is PS2 only.
My PS2 online connection is free so :P

I just explained that but maybe you are too slow to firgure it out.
SEGA RUNS THE SERVERS. THEY DONT ON XBOX LIVE. EAs games dont lag on ps2. 989 sports dont either.
