Ok... it's Friday night, I get home from work and turn on the TV to watch while I'm eating diner.
I start flippin through the channels and come across ESPN with a madden commercial on it... or so I thought.
EA was sponsering a NFL show and showing plays from the madden game with players that were on the show...
Then I got to thinking... SEGA... Whats the point of haiving the ESPN license if you arnt going to use it to your advantage? Your giving the competition FREE PLAY on your license!
#1 WISH
no more EA ad campaigns on ESPN networks. and if they have to have em... atleast dont make shows "paid for in part by EA... Madden '04"
#1 Ultimate WISH!
After seeing this show, it dawned on me that ESPN networks could be just what Sega sports needs to get ahead of EA.
OK... check it. Have either ESPN or Sega sports sponser their own leagues. Anyone that signs up for these leagues has a chance at appearing on "2k5 PrimeTime" - A weekly show on either ESPN that goes through that weeks games and highlights.
Hopefully, it would be possible to see realtime highlights, but the main thing would be stats and game breakdowns.
Just think of the possibilites this could have.
I know for a fact that we all play online to see where we rank in the nation (more or less). To have a weekly show dedicated to us would be awesome. The thing is this show doesnt have to be just for football... It'll encompass the entire ESPN game roster.
1 hour to announce league leaders... players of the week... plays of the week.... OH MAN! I get all giddy just thinking of how cool this wouild be.
I thin kthis could be a great IDEA for SEGA guys... It'll deffinitly put EA to the side when people think of online football.
PLESE tell what you all think, or what else could be implemented into the show.
