Minor Thing with Penalty Minutes

I'm about two months into a franchise with my beloved Habs and i noticed something odd about the accumulated penalty minutes. Mike Komisarek has 3 PIM, while Marcel Hossa and Andreas Dackell both have 1 PIM.

I assume that what's going on here is that the game doesn't count a full 2 minutes of PIM if you get scored on during the penalty; i.e Dackell took a 2 minute minor but i got scored on so the game is only counting the time he was actually in the box.

Obviously this is wrong, but it's not a game breaker. Anyone else notice this?
