This was done way back in the first EA sports hockey games where at intermissions you would see highlights from another game in the league, it was a fun thing to look forward to instead of rushing to start up the next period. This of course would only be an option in single player modes not online. :idea:

Pretty sweet idea, man - I never knew EA did that before a long time ago. It would definetly add to the ESPN "feel".

sounds like a great feature to add! i would love to goals and key plays in other games around the league!

this would be a great idea.... sports breaks...
but to go with it we could toss in some advertising, maybe Dodge Motors Ads, some viagra commercials, mcdonalds ads, and ads for other ESPN networks like ESPN HD and ESPN Classic. i think it would be sweet, and not hard to do as compressed video takes up very litle space on a dual layer dvd.
--note, actually old sega games had look ins on other games also... like sega 93 and on for about 2 years.

Great idea, but how cool would it be if you got to see other scores of games online during your online intermissions?,,,to get an idea of your competition out there....

we gotsa push this idea on sega. with advertising they could make enuf extra revenue to provide a more robust online experience to both XBOX and PS2 users, while also having the opertunity to sell the game for less.

i think it was nhl 93 but im not too sure, you would see gretzky make a pass and have the other guy do a one-timer, so espn if your out there watching us on these boards, we would LOVE! this in the game! thanks!

I agree with this as well. I never thought about Highlights from other games in between periods. But that is a great idea. And now that you mention it, I do remember one of the first EA games having this. It was so long ago, I didn't even have a system yet. I had to go to my neighbor's and play his Genesis.
But I think the Sportscenter aspect should really be pushed in the next game. I don't think anyone would even mind product placements, so Sega can make a little extra revenue. After all, we do want the full experience. And corporate advertisement is unfortunately a huge part of professional sports.
