Wrong Jerseys

Hi,

I'm new to the board and am playing the Xbox version of this ESPN game. However, I noticed that the jerseys that are being presented to choose from - prior to the game, are backwards. Shouldn't dark be away and light colours be at home?

I understand that there are certain teams out there that play home games with dark colors but this is not the general rule for every team.

So as I play as the Leafs, all my away games I have to wear the white jersey and the dark blue for home games. This doesn't make sense to me.

Is this a bug or is this meant to be in the game?

NO ITS CORRECT. the nhl is doing that this year for some reason. the dark jersey's are home and the white jersey's are away. i think its stupid if you ask me, but its definatly not a bug. Thats how the nhl is today. If you watch the games you would notice.

Ahh ok.

I have not been able to see any of my Leafs games this year (missed the two).

But after looking at some images from the games it has finally hit me. Ok. This is really dumb.

For the longest time I had thought that this was a glitch in the game. oh well....... game on!

it makes perfect sense why they're doing it! Almost every team has third jerseys...they want to showcase these jersey's in front of the home crowd with the aspirations of increasing sales. It's a marketing tactic, and a good one too. I mean how many LA Kings fans are gonna watch Ottawa play and say...Hey I need one of those third jerseys???

Good point Orange. Maybe now will get to see those third jerseys more. My favorite third jersey has got to be the oilers.

I'm quite fond of the Sens third jersey's...then again their red jerseys are nice too..the Flyers new third with the silver lining is prety hot, I think so anyway...haven't seen too many of the others...
