NBA 2k5 betters
1)You better make sure to minimize glitches and not have good camera angles and custom camera angles. Clean up the problem with the graphics people know why you put the camera angle the way you did.
2)If there was a good feature like game intros that were in the previous series, or any other features take your time and remember to carry it over into the next series. People get ****ed off when you forget to do that.
3)Whenever you have a new feature make sure you have everything the people expect to be in it if you have team relocation and jersey modification, make sure you have a lot of designs and colors to choose from. And make sure it is in franchise mode and that there are no inconsistencies like some teams not having certain colors or designs or the team making a new jersey, but in the game you see the same onld jersey.
4)Make sure that you minimize glitches.
5)When you hire a coach can you create actual looks for those made up coach's instead of still showing the same coach you previously fired.
6)Since people complained about it being too arcadey in 2k4 and isomotion not being ready know that going in the sim direction people want more control and simplicity at the same time, we want to control what move we do a crossover, spin, juke, stutter-step, and etc.
7)Fix the franchise mode glitches and make it as realistic as possible, i know you can't use a money system because of legal reasons, but at least for big time players put the points in the millions instead of thousands if at all possible.
8)If you have a feature that should be in all different modes remember to include it in all.
9) Do not tell ign, gamespot, operation sports, or anyone a feature that you are supposed to have, but don't have in the final version.
10) Please don't let Derrick look bad by having him tell his interview no we don't have this and no we don't have that.
11) The features that live has that people like, freestyle, the pro hop, 10 man mocap make those features more of a sim. Live's new features are fun, but the problem when they implement a new feature since 2003 so far has created an imbalance making offense too powerful. People want to perform moves whenever they want manually instead of the cpu doing it and them guessing what move is gonna be pulled off that's what is wrong with isomotion, you have to make it simple yet offer maximum control, you don't have to use my exact control scheme, heck, you might even come up with a better one, but just make sure players can do crossovers, stutter-steps, spin moves, jukes, post moves, jump hooks and hook shots whenever they want.
12) As for the other feature live has you in the sneakers and throwbacks, and game soundtrack (because ps2 people do not have the benefit of custom soundtrack xbox owners have) rival them in these features too.
13)Commentary and the crowd interaction should rival live as well.
14)You should be the best in every category don't be just complacent with being the best game overall dominate in every aspect. Try to get a 9.2 on gamespot, ign gives points away too easily.
15) I understand that you wanna make profit, but your integrity is on the line if you purposely botch features of the game so people can buy next year's series to find the improvements, people will start catching on and you will lose customers.
16)Take your time with the new feature, beforre you add the new ones make sure all the best features of all the previous series carries over and when you add the new features in make sure you do an excellent job in making the new feature.
17) The solution to the created players thing is this, if people want their created player drafted then they need to buy colle hoops and put their player in the game otherwise their players will be undrafted in franchise mode.
18) Use the 10 man motion capture I know you will knock ea out the water when you use this feature along with the ingame things, also use the motion capture for the bench, the crowd's reaction, the ref and coach's , movement's 10 man mocap you should do a mocap for everyone to get the real sensation of the players, refs, coaches, the bench, the crowd, mascots. For the crowd use the 10 man mocap and just multiply tho people you mocaped for the crowd to whatever the capacity crowd is. You can have realistic player bench and coach interaction, ref player and coach interaction so that the cut scenes will be more fluid and realistic. The crowd will be more animated and you will see the announcers interaction too. Just go wild with the mocap.
19) It will be expensive to get top stars to use the mocap so get nba level players for cheaper to do the 10 man mocap, to show speed, strength, hustle plays like ball dives and dive deflections, player's getting amped, one foot, two foot dunkers. Let those player's imitate some of the stars moves too. That's good too.
20) Finally, advertise like you never did before teasing your competition by having features they don't have and being better in the features they do have. I mean really go after the competition.
