Can't get past Dec 15th!!

I had a saved session, using the islanders prior to the calendar date of december 15th. The last save was mid Nov. I then played a month's worth of games (without saving) and got up to Dec 15th's game vs. the NJ Devils. Once I got to this point, the game just gave me the LOADING dialog box and never got past this point. Seems odd, so I chalked it up to a bad session. I left the game alone and came back several days later. I reloaded my last saved session and started playing AND saving along the way. Again, once I got up to December 15th, the same results. I can't get past December 15th in the game for some reason... Anyone have any idears??? (on an Xbox)

sorry to tell you this, but you gotta restart your season, its a glitch that is caused by having injuries turned on, after a certain amount of time, it just screws up. So restart your franchise with injuries off
