I am a huge fan of college basketball, and was wondering who you guys think will be the top 10 teams when the rankings come out in a couple weeks. My List:

#1 - North Carolina Tar Heels (Great squad, could win it all easily)
#2 - Wake Forest Demon Deacons (Will be fighting UNC all year long for #1 spot)
#3 - Kentucky Wildcats (Always seem to be a top team come March)
#4 - Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (Went a long way last year, should do the same this year)
#5 - Connecticut Huskies (Lost Okafor, but still a great team)
#6 - Kansas Jayhawks (Very deep team, and one of the best recruiting classes in Kansas history)
#7 - Duke Blue Devils (The coach is staying, so it will be another winning season)
#8 - Texas Longhorns (Lost good players, but gained good ones as well)
#9 - Maryland Terps (Was 6th in ACC last year, but only lost one good player to the draft, I think they will do good)
#10 - Pittsburgh Panthers (Only 5 losses last year, Pittsburgh has been a strong team these last few seasons)

Others:
#11 - Louisville Cardinals (Coach Pitino should have a good enough team this year to go far and even win the C-USA)
#12 - Michigan State Spartans (Coach Izzo always seems to win and get his team in the higher rankings)
#13 - Oklahoma State Cowboys (Only 4 losses last year, should go far again this year)
#14 - Illinois Fighting Illini (A good solid team that always does well)
#15 - Cincinnati Bearcats (Lost Bobbitt, but gained some tealent, this team has good depth and a shot at the C-USA)

This is just my opinion, what do you guys think. By the way, I think the rankings come out next Monday? (October 16th)

Everyone knows that rankings mean nothing, especially in the preseason. All that matters in college hoops is what happens in march. Here are the teams I think will make it to the Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final Four and the Championship Game (with winner).

Sweet 16:
Duke
Georgia Tech
UNC
Wake Forest
UConn
Syracuse
Louisville
Kentucky
Alabama
Kansas
Texas
OK St
Illinois
Michigan State
Arizona
Washington

Elite 8:
Georgia Tech
UNC
Wake Forest
UConn
Syracuse
Alabama
Kansas
Illinois

Final Four:
UConn vs Georgia Tech (matchup of last years champinoship game)
Kansas vs. UNC

Championship Game:
UConn vs. UNC

2005 NCAA CHAMPION:
The UConn Huskies

I could certainly see UNC winning it all. I actually think that they are a better team than UConn (I guess we will see when the play each other in Febuary), but I gave the edge to UConn because they have the Final Four experience having gotten there last year. Also, Jim Calhoun always seems to have his teams playing their best basketball right around tournament time.

Felton, McCants and May are quite a trio (not to mention Jawad Williams) but UConn has amazing depth, something that UNC always seems to lack. Injuries will occur over the course of a season and UConn seems better fit to handle them.

1.UNC- Great line up no depth.
2.Wake Forest-with their whole starting line up coming back and improved D they have a great chance of winning it all.

4.Gtech
5.Duke-still have reddick, randolph, williams, ewing thats great
6.Maryland-deep
7.NC state-can shoot the 3
8. Lousiville

I think you are a bit biased towards the ACC AirJordan23. 6 teams in the top 10, please!

Where's UConn, Syracuse, Illinois?

I respect your opinion, but you really think that Duke, Mayland and N.C. State? are top ten teams?

Anyone who doesn't think UMD is a top 10 team knows pretty much nothing about College Hoops

yeah how is 6 ACC in the top 10 bein biased WTF its the best conference in the nation and probably this years teams make it the best conference ever....Maryland is gonna be nice this year....Hometown Hero John Gilchrist is gonna tear it up i see them comin in 2nd or 3rd in the ACC but losin in the sweet 16...Unfortuanlly Duke will be again a top seed cause like airjordan said all they lost was duhon...he was their leader but hes the only dude they lost....UNC lack of depth could haunt them but they have the best startin 5 in the land IMO...only if we got JR Smith instead him goin to the NBA
