Let me be one of the first to congratulate Visual Concepts for the greatest basketball creation of all time. Certain critics didn't rate the game all that great but that's because they favor other overrated games. Bottom line when it comes to quality nobody beats VC.

I think this is a great game, but I'm not calling it the best until I've checked out NBA Live 2005. But VC did put together a superb game.

Don't waste your time with Live. That game SUCKS. The gameplay is choppy and goofy. The graphics are trash. In previous years ESPN and NBA Live were neck and neck. This year ESPN blows it out the water.

yeh all live has is the 3pt contest and the dunk contest...although i love playing the dunk contest....2k5 still overpowers live....

i'm a former EA Sports addict and i just bought an xbox... i figured if i was going to try a new system, why not buy a new series of sports... and i am impressed. as a game, nba 2k5 adds more the realism than LIVE, same with nfl2k5 over MADDEN, and same with college Hoops (WHICH IS THE BEST SPORTS GAME ON THE MARKET, imho)... i think the only way i ll buy from ea is ncaa football and nascar....

the graphics on live are better than previous years but when only when you zoom in or do the dunk contest... nba 2k5 has this feel throughout the entire game... all the little things about the sports i notice are in VC games
