I have been playing as the Leafs, after a full team overhaul during the first season, I won the cup. 05-06 was no different, another excellent season, winning the cup a second time in a row. During the off season, many of the players I traded for during the first season had expired contracts, this included a list of marquee players (St Louis, Elias, Tverdovsky, Warrener) that were asking for way too much money. Though my team budget was 101 million dollars (I had only spent about 30$ million). I thought i'd find replacements in the free agent pool. During the 12 week period, that 101$ million quickly dissappeared. Through some very generous contract offers too Naslund, Staal, Nash, McKee, Mclaren, and Miroslav Satan, my Payroll shot up too 98 million dollars... I am now 2-0 in my early season, coming off a 4-1 win over Ottawa. Updates soon...
