Does anyone know if it is possible to place any of the legends into a current NBA roster???

Sort of...
In the main menu, you are going to have to trade the legends for current players...
Then, if you start an Association, they should be there...

When you start an Association, one of the options you can change is to customize league. Turn it on. Then when you start your dynasty you can theoretically move the Knicks to the Northernwest divsion and so on. You could change the Hawks to the all-time Celtics for example. Remember when you add the Legendary team the Hawks will not be in your Association they will be the All- Time Celtics.
