I follow Wazzu a little bit. I am a UConn fan but like a lot of the teams in the Northwest. **** Bennet is an excellent coach but he will need at least another 3 years to be able to realistically compete in the Pac 10. I think they will finish 7th ahead of Arizona State, Cal who will be without Leon Powe and Oregon State who will be missing star player David Lucas for a while. If they have a great year, they could finish 6th ahead of USC and make the NIT.
I would love to see the Cougars compete for the conference championship like its rival Washington is doing, but I still don't see that happening for another few years. They will really miss Marcus Moore but look for Thomas Kelati to pick up a good amount of the scoring.

What happened to Powe?
Anyways i think they can make a conference tourney run, they will probably get 6 th in the conference itself. Cal will be ahead of USC.

I disagree. Cal and USC fiished with the same records last year. Cal lost their best two players: Amit Tamit (to graduation) and Leon Powe (to injury). USC was a much improved team towards the end of the year and will finish ahead of the declining Cal Bears. Cal will finish ahead of Oregon State and Arizona State.
