JJ is a one dimensional shooter. McCants is a well rounded rounded star. There is no comparison between the two. Plus JJ is way overrated as a three point shooter anyway. I could name thirty guys who are more effective from three point range, 39.5% isn't that great. It isn't even the highest on the team.

Thank You...Shelden Williams helps out on D but he fouls like a ***** so hes always fouled out
How r u gonna compare Reddick to McCants....McCants is top 5 best players in the nation...reddick would be lucky to be top 20.....and besides how u gonna compare to totaly different positions...McCants isa SF and reddick is a PG...compare him to Felton and he still wont be better cause Ray is more D then O and still led the ACC in assist
oh and heres a comparison
*McCants 20 PPG 5 RPG and 3 APG 2 SPG
*Felton(the guy u should really be comparion him too)12 RPG 4 RPG 7 APG 2 SPG
*Reddick-15 PPG 3 RPG 1 APG and 1 SPG
Both better than Reddick
im not bein baised im juz proven a point
PS-its Rashad not Rashard

jj redick is a shooting guard, and he had to give up the ball to alll the duke starters that all averaged double figure points

i think jj is the best shootin guard in the country. Rashad mcants can do alot but he can't stop jj from raining the three ball baby.

And J.J. Redick couldn't stop Jackie Manuel for Christ sakes. Redick is awful. All he can do is shoot, and shoot some more, and quite frankly, he's inconsistent at it. Did you see the ACC title game? He choked. Put a D.J. Strawberry on him and he's a non-factor. He can't create for himself, and he can't put the ball on the floor. His defense is mediocre, along with his athleticism. This kid's going nowhere!

J-J Reddick is over rated to, and I can't stand Dukes Coach, he looks like a rat, so anyways Duke is over-rated. I think Wake Forest Is under-rated

yeah OK carolina panthers own, I've seen enuff of ur UNC hater pages, and if Redick owns McCants, then lets compare there head to head matchups from last year.
Redick 5-17 (thats less than one third, u cant spell so I am assuming u cant count)
McCants 12-21 (thats above 50%, see above)
Redick is all about popping the 3, but all this hype was about Trajan Langdon to, and he lasted 2 years in the NBA, and never played, JJ can't rebound, cant pass, cant play D, and cant shoot like Peja (Peja would be a 60% 3 pt shooter in college bball right now) compar all u want, but in 6 years redick will be on his [***] while McCants is in the NBA

What position would McCants play in the NBA?
He is listed at 6'4 but is more like 6'2 or 6'3. He is too small to play SG but doesnt have the passing, ball handling skills or floor vision to play the point. McCants will end up like Dajuan Wagner in the NBA.

I agree what more can you say about a player who has rouble putting the ball on the floor to creat his own shoot and i dont see him in the nba if he does make he willnt stay long. DID YOU FORGET ABOUT THE REST OF THE DUKE 2 GUARDS

No, I think McCants will play 2 guard, he is undersized but he has the muscle and the dribble, and Redick will be lucky to stay in the NBA for two years at top. McCants > Wagner is the NBA, McCants is more versatile and can create his own shot, I know u saw him pump, dribble and drop that 3 over UK near the halftime break.

McCants does not have that great a ball handling skills first off.
And yes I saw him hit the 3 over a 6'0 Sparks. In the NBA that would have to be over a 6'6 SG. I compare McCants to Wagner in that, he is just too small for his position. They both are too small for SG but dont have the ball handling skills and court vision for PG.

Hater.
McCant's is the truth!
He's a polished player and will be a very good player in the NBA at the 2.

McCants has good enough ball handling skills to be effective, and he made the 3 over Azubuike

Azubuike wasnt on McCants until the 2nd half

so.... point (pun intended) is McCants had a regular outing, Azubuike didn't

December 8th, 2004, 06:17 PM
huh?
I think both McCants AND Azubuike had their A Game.
Kelenna has been on a tear scoring 21 or more in each of his last 3 games. This is after he began the season in a big time slump.

December 8th, 2004, 07:52 PM
BUT...Azubuike lit it up from three, he came in shooting less than 10% from 3
7 National Championships
December 8th, 2004, 09:06 PM
And, as I said he was in a huge shooting slump to start the season.
Last year he hit 39.5% from 3pt range and 34% his freshman year so he is definately a good shooter. Nothing uncharacteristic about it.

reddick will be a Wally Szerbiak at BEST.
krzyzewskisucks
January 17th, 2005, 04:29 AM
Wally Sczerbiak is a much better player than Redick ever will be, he can create his own shot, dribble penetration, can kick it out, decent defense.
Wally averages about 18 PPG I think. This is 3 games in a row where at least twice JJ has tried to dribble penetrate and gotten the ball stripped then not gone back to play defense cuz hed rather yell at the official with coach K about a foul.

wow against virginia j-j shot 6-10 from 3 point range- and since u-kryzeskiesucks don't live in NC u probably have NEVER seen j.j. play he RARELY waits for a good shot (which might be good or bad) he just pops it right over the heads of the other player (he also had 8-13 shooting and as usual 100% free throw shooting-he is already better that wally he is AT LEAST a peja stoiackovich
by the way he leads the acc with ppg kryzeski sucks don't try to prove me wrong as u know u will
krzyzewskisucks
January 17th, 2005, 01:04 PM
well, i can prove you wrong on one thing, I DO live in NC. 2nd, you see why he leads the ACC in scoring, he makes all his FT, while thats fine and dandy he can not create his own shot. Half the shots he makes are covered, and while thats fine and dandy, try making those shots over ppl who are 2-3 inches taller in the league, JJ will never be Peja Stojakovich, he will never be Wally Sczerbiak
Funny thing is, everyone was saying this about Trajan Langdon, how did he end up?

JJ is a good shooter. That's it. He might be a decent addition to the NBA, in the sense that he gives them a bench player who can hit jumpers and that's about it.
But I also disagree with the negative feedback on McCants. Size isn't everything. He still has some time to get his ball handling to a higher level, if you really think it's an issue. Good players find ways to overcome their weaknesses. That said, I think he'll be ok in the NBA.... not a superstar but a pretty solid player for a young franchise.

JJ will be nothing more then a Steve Kerr.
