A New "Track" Record?
Mogul decides to reconcile with "first love"

AP-Renowned Hip-Hop producer, Oliver Neal(Oneal fo real) has had some miracalous change of heart and decided to pursue a career in coaching. The producer, who is responsible for a lot of Wacky D and the All-Stars past hits, claims that this isn't as far-fetched as it seems, "coaching is in my blood," Neal proclaimed, "my father and grandfather were both successful coaches in North Carolina on the high school level." "It's just that as a youngster, I really loved music and my mother supported that, so that's what I chose to do, and the fact that I wasn't to good to play ball as well." "But," Neal sternly said, " I do know ball." With that being said, Long Island Blackbird AD Doug Radus, a former player under Neal's grandfather, has taken a chance on Neal, " hey, we were 1-25 last year, how much worse can we get," stated Radus. "Plus, when we make the tournament this year, I will look like a genius." Strong words indeed. Many people in the know think that this is favor that Radus is doing for Neal's grandfather since he took him in as a teen when his parents kicked him out. Whatever the case may be, this is one of the most interesting hires in a long time.

*Note: I had already started this legacy before I realized that Brian G. also had one with Long Island. Hope that this won't be a problem.

Press Conference

Reporter 1: Coach, I have a son who is an up and coming rapper and i was wondering................................

Neal: Look, I am here as a basketball coach and a basketball coach only, not a record producer. If you are here to talk music, leave, but if you wanna talk hoops, let's talk.

Reporter 2: I noticed that the paper said that you were reconciling with your first love, please elaborate.

Neal: Basketball is my first love, duhhhhhhhhh, what do you need me to elaborate on?

Reporter 2: Forget it coach.

Neal: Yeah that's right forget it.

Reporter 3: Coach, it does seem that you have a background in hoops so can you tell me why you gave up music and what type of style will you play?

Neal: I just feel that I did all I could do with music, it just wasn't challenging enough. I mean, I made Wacky D and the All Stars household names, what else can I do? As for style of play, we will play inside out, point blank, period. If that ball does not go in the post, my players will not like me the next practice, I guarantee you that. As far as defensively, our opponents will see more traps then a house infested with mice.

Reporter 1: Coach, after going through a couple of practices, what can you say about your team?

Neal: That we need more practices. These guys aren't used to winning, so my staff and I have to instill a winning attitude in these guys. I know that I have no "track" record, but these guys have to believe that if they listen to us, that they will be successful.

Reporters 1,2 and 3: Coach, Coach, what would you.......................( the press conference is abruptly halted by 4 thuggish looking guys)

Neal: What the hell are you guys doing in here?

Wacky D: How in the hell are you just going to quit on us like that? You made us, now we are gonna be nothing without you Oneal. We have families to feed and now we won't be able to do that. You will pay, trust me.

Neal: Security, get those guys outta here. Sorry guys, but thanks to the interruption by those dumb asses I will be cutting this short. Thanks for your time and I will talk to you in the near future.

I had already played six games before i decided to post this legacy. The results are as follows:

Lehigh-W-70-52

Columbia-W-59-56

Boston College-W-74-69(major upset!!!!)

Wagner-W-70-62

Albany-W-63-47

Hartford-W-65-63

So far, so good, I'm off to a 6-0 start with 1 major upset. Whitted, my point guard is averaging 9.7 points and 9.2 assists and Norris, my center, is averaging 12.8 points and 6.2 rebounds. My focus of going inside is definately working. Also, to note, I only have 2 scholarships to offer and I've already signed a 3 star recruit- Cody Daley. He's 6'11" and weighs 248lbs.He's a B in everything but leaping(D) and quickness(C-). He will most definately be Norris' replacement once he graduates. I also have a SF who is very interested but I will hold the scholarship until the end of the season to see exactly what position needs to be addressed the most. From here on out, I will give a report of each game and I will let you all know what happens with Wacky D and the all stars.

Just noticed that someone else has started a long island legacy. that's about my only major gripe with the game, that there are only a few teams that you can start a career legacy with, as oppossed to last year
