I hate to say it, but i think that Jamie Dixon needs to be ousted. Why would he play a zone defense when the players are known for their staunch man-to-man? personally i don't think you risk that when back to back losses are on the line.

Pitt has played very bad at times, but I do recall UNC not having a good year 2 years ago.. as where they didn't make the freakin Tournament.. Get off your high horse with UNC, just because they finally have a top team in the country.

You're right, Pitt hasn't won a "National Championship", but as I recall UNC didn't make the tournament 2 years ago, therefor in 2 years they got better. Its funny how people jump on the UNC bandwagon once they get good, but I remember b4 Roy Williams came in they were being bashed all over the country. I like UNC, they're a good team and probably would destroy Pitt, if not they'd still win but i'm sick of this guy prancing around like UNC is Gods gift to College Basketball,, get over yourselves.
And actually get the facts straight..
1927-28 - Pitt won its first Mythical National Championship by going 21 games without a loss and averaging a then-phenomenal 38 points per game. Charley Hyatt and Stan Wroblewski were the nation’s two highest scorers.
1929-30 - The Men's Basketball team earned a second consecutive Mythical National Championship. The Panthers won their first 12 games and finished with a 23-2 overall record. The season's only losses were to West Virginia and Syracuse.
1941 - The Panthers made a Final Four appearance in school history at the inaugural NCAA Tournament played in Madison, Wisconsin. The Panthers defeated North Carolina in the semifinals but fell to the hometown Wisconsin Badgers in the championship game. Every member of the 1940-41 team graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and served in World War II.
1973-74 - In their most successful season in the modern era, the Panthers won 25 games and reached the Eastern Regional finals of the NCAA Tournament before losing to eventual national champion North Carolina State. After losing their first game of the season, the Panthers reeled off a school-record 22-game winning streak. The Panthers top six players, including All-American forward Billy Knight, were all Pittsburgh area natives. Knight would go on to an illustrious professional career that saw him become Pitt’s first-ever NBA All-Star. Knight currently serves the as General Manager of the Atlanta Hawks.

Pittsburgh is no where to be seen.
I've always been a UNC fan, there's never been any jumping on a bandwagon here. I guess all the Patriot fans are bandwagoners aren't they? Get over yourself.

Dean Smith's North Carolina team went to like 12 FF's (I'll look it up in my IC handbook in a sec) Bill Guthridge went to a FF. UNC had 2 years where they were not a top team, TWO YEARS, and you come on here and say they're not an elite team and have great history.....w/e

Congrats.. but i'm sick of people who just like a team because they are good.
I've always been a Pitt and FSU fan. Not just when they are winning, but even when they are losing. Pitt isn't the greatest at sports but its funny how there are so many UNC fans from states who have decent basketball teams, but yet they are UNC fans because they are always good.. and I don't even have to get into this with the Patriots.
But its funny... Anyways my facts are straight. The facts in my previous post, are FACTS.
