The ocntrols for the game are pretty true to life, but the book is weak on explaining stuff. If anybody can help me out, I would really appreciate it.

1. What is a deke, and why would I want to use one?

1a. How/when do I use the dekes?

2. How to I lift the puck during a pass?

3. In the skills challenges, how to I aim the my shots? I am so weak...they all go into the center on the ice!

4. How do I hip check?

5. During a fight, how do I get my opponent to let go of me?

Sorry if I sould like a lamer, I like hockey, but am having issue with this game.

Thanks.

1. What is a deke, and why would I want to use one?
Deke, meaning decoy, a fake out, a juke. Use it to either get around a check or get the goalie out of position.

1a. How/when do I use the dekes?
Just push the right analog stick in whichever direction you want to deke. Use the L1 + Triangle and move the stick to deke the goalie.

2. How to I lift the puck during a pass?
L1 + X on advanced controls, or hold the X button for a second.

3. In the skills challenges, how to I aim the my shots? I am so weak...they all go into the center on the ice!
Hold the stick in the direction while holding square

4. How do I hip check?
Dunno, regular check i guess Circle.

5. During a fight, how do I get my opponent to let go of me?
I think you punch?
