This is a great idea! The NIT (most preferably the post season NIT) should be in the game. It's a great idea because any team that's right on the bubble of the NCAA tournament winds up losing out because that's all that they can hope for. It does hurt them for recruiting and other stuff. However, if they make it into the NIT, they can still say that they have had somewhat of a successful year.

An example of this would be when I start my legacy and take a team and have 20+ wins in the season. After I lose my conference tournament, I'm pretty much SOL because there's no other option to go to. However putting the NIT in the game takes care of this problem.

I also like that idea, but maybe they don't have it because the NIT people charge them to use it, that's my guess. Licensing and stuff. But if that's the case, they could make a fake NIT and call it something else, that would be cool.

I bet you're right squidpants, in regards to the cost of licensing for the NIT tourney. But, you have a very good idea to create another tourney to take the place of the NIT....good point indeed.

I'm in total agreeance, athat all mid-major, or teams that don't win their conference tourney outright..should have an option to enhance their off-season recruiting possibilities....this is definitly needed. Nice post, guys.

NIT is a must have. Since they have renamed a lot of the regular season Tourneys, How hard would it be to add the NIT and name is the "ESPN Ivitational'?

Also I want the great Alaskan Shoot out!!
