SHOES PLEASE!!!! GIVE US REAL SHOES

The game has everything in it but the SHOES!!!! I was so amped on them having a NIKE license this year and having jumpman and the lebron's and the Vince Carter's, etc. I dont know what the deal is on that. If someone from VC reads this, can you please shed some light on why the lack of shoes in the game? I love shoes and they look cool on the games and it makes the players feel more authentic, not that you guys haven't already done a hell of a job coding the hell out of this game, but I just wanted to see what happened with the NIKE lincense this year?

Well I saw the 24/7 movie and it allowes you put some shoes on your player. I know the shoes aren't real, but I think you can put the players of a team into the player edit and hook him up with some shoes. :wink: Its real tight to play NBA Live Street and see all the real shoes on the players. (Even the legend players!!!!!) The creator of that mod really over did it, but the players look so real and the atmosphere is sweet. I wish VC could add the littile things to make this game better than what it is. Lotta little things add up to be one big thing.

It would be nice if we could get Nikes, and1s, Jordans, but the fact is, these companies aren't all willing to give out licences for their shoes. Nike I think feels LIVE is the best (as in popular) game so the want to be affliated with "#1". Also there's the issue of Sega using the Jordan commercial "Frozen Moment" concept for the NBA 2k2 commmercial w/o authorization. I hope they're past that, cause I'd like to see VC in the VCs, and other signature shoes.

Weird thing is that this year we didn't see the A7s in any screens, as last year we saw the A6s. They had the Tmac 1s instead of the 2s last year. I hope they did put the A7 and Tmac 3 for this game cause they don't seem to have any licencing issues with Reebok and Adidas.

A7s ARE in the game after all. It didn't show on the screenshots, but in some vids (Philly vs. Magic) Iverson (from a distance) appears to be wearing a white shoe with black around the midsole. I'm sure it's the A7. T-Mac is also wearing a different shoe, cause it's not completely blue underneath the shoe. However that could be just the Tmac2 not the 3.

When you think about it, there are only a handfull of people in the NBA that actually have a signature shoe. :idea:

shoes are what make a major impact on the game. Just think about it, when you draft a rookie, or have that star player on your team that has his reeboks or addidas on, he looks alot better than anyone else on the team. I remember last year on 2k3, I drafted the number one player overall with the first pick, and he had reeboks on like j rich. I was like heck yea, this cat is gonna be tyte. And he was. I lit up the comp for like 30 a nite with this cat.

I Think that it would be nice to be able to create your own shoes again. You could even have a contest for the best created shoes(on-line of course).

They should bring back the create a shoe for create a player and plus for drafted or players who are just becoming knowing in the league, for example, lets say that kevin durant or greg oden is drafted, and because of their high draft status and potential they should get a shoe contract from a made up company by using the create a shoe, or a player thats been in the league for about 2 years and is becoming the face of his team and doesnt have a shoe, then he could sign with another made up shoe company from using the create a shoe
