In the USA it is $49.99 for a whole year with no monthly fee (I don't know why they have one in Canada). Plus when you sign up the first time you get a free headset with it. Totally worth it to me and not much problems as far as lag and drops (I can only speak for hockey).

I've had only the best online experience with Xbox Live, i've played PS2 online and was really unimpressed, play wise, but it does have some neat additional features

Xbox Live = $69 a year in Canada which is the start kit and it includes the headset...I won't bother renewing by having MS charge my CC ( $79 a year )...rather I'm going to be purchase a starter kit again and all you have to do is punch in your subscription code and your set for another year...

Actually, XBOX is $179 USD. Live is $49.95 a year with NO monthly fee and $50 to renew the next year. If you do not like the annual obligation you can pay monthly for $4.99 and cancel at any time.

XBOx is 49.99 with a yearly subscription. If you choose to go monthly that is 5.99 which is more than paying 49.99 for a year.

The 69.99 version amen ra spoke of includes mech assault that is why it is an extra 20 bucks
