Here are some do-able requests voted on by users for the producers of NBA 2K5. My suggestion to the 2K5 producers if pick the top five in consideration and if you need room to make updates, just get rid of the team legends. I'd rather have a better finished product, then to have NBA Legends.

*Tweak Create Player Options* (Add "Weight" field. Add "Highschool, Unknown, None, (international countries)," and if possible any custom text to the college field. Add "Years Pro" field. Add "Birthdate" field. Add
I think that the create a player options need to be restored to what they were a few years back, so that there is more flexibility and greater options for maiking your own players
*Tweak Player Attributes Editing* (Add editing to player's position/number so you can update the player to conform to the team's lineup so he fits in better. It usually happens when a player is traded to a team with a better player at his position)
I don't get this issue and I've seen it in a variety of spots on this forum. When I play with certain players, I drop them into whatever position that I want and use them there. When I've played games with the Cavaliers, I played LeBron at PG, SG and SF
*Add Roster/Game Updates During Season/Franchise Mode* (In 2K3 you couldn't update rosters while you were playing your season, you'd have to start a whole new season with the new updated roster)
Once you are into a Franchise, I don't mind that the computer starts making trades and trying to adjust the competitive balance so that it matches up to whatever I'm doing
*Add *New* Downloadable "Game" Updates* (Not only can you update rosters during a season, but also uniforms or if you're in franchise mode, the arena for that year's allstar game you play in)
Okay, this is fine, but aren't all the arenas already in the game?
*Tweak Franchise Mode* (Add on/off options for money (points) so you can make any transaction. Add on/off options for computer trading)
Read: Pass the cheese......
*Tweak Free Throwing* (In the older NBA Lives there was a big + sign. A marker went back and forth horizontally and you had to stop it in the middle, then the marker when up and down vertically, and you had to stop it in the middle to make a freethrow)
I don't like Live's Free Throw mechanism. The one in 2K4 is actually a whole lot more realistic in that it forces you to concentrate and makes it very difficult to attain high FT% for every player. As well, why do I want to stare at a backboard. I like seeing the different camera angles and free throw routines. To me, this year has been a huge improvement
*Add Jump Shooting Styles* (Kind of like how there is 3 or 4 different free throwing styles)
I don't mind this one
*Tweak Practice Scrimmage Mode* (When you scrimmage, make it so you run back and forth down the court so you're playing defense to)
I believe this is called an exhibition game. To me, any practice mode should be about drills. We rarely scrimaged full court. We'd run drills full court if warranted, like learning defensive presses, etc, but scrimages were rare
*Tweak Practice Standard Mode* (When you practice standard mode make it so when you go down to the other basket past the over-and-back line you can shoot at the oppisite basket too so you can shoot at both baskets)
Isn't this the same as your last point? To me practice is about drills, or in a VR case mini games that replicate the types of things done in real-world practices

No, not for your lineup. Say you start a season. You pick your team, and you setup the other teams' lineups. And say one of those other teams you setup are the Bulls or something. So you put Jalen Rose at SG, but in the game he's listed as a SF, and Scottie Pippen at SF and he's listed as a SF. When you play a few games with whatever team you are and you go back to the lineups. The computer automatically changes the lineup so the player with the better Overall Rating is in the SF position. Which would be Jalen Rose. So then Scottie Pippen is on the bench and you're next-best shooting guard is in Jalen Rose's old spot. This is why I think it would be nice to change the #'s and positions so they fit in and stay where you want them. Or they could just make it so where you put them is where you stay and not even mess around with the numbers.

That's you, some people would like control over this factor. So you could play multiple seasons in 2K5 and mimic the roster transactions and lineup changes to the real life season.
Okay, this is fine, but aren't all the arenas already in the game?
Yes they are, but you can't pick which Arena to play in during a regular season or in Franchise Mode. Plus the arena used for that allstar game that year has allstar logos on it and *****.

I have played 2K4, only 2K3. And I hated 2K3's freethrowing. If they improved it greatly and realistically in 2K4, then cool, keep that.

Well, they should at leas make it realistic. After you make a shot, or lose the ball it just pops right back to mid court with the PG having the ball. they should run or walk back into place for the next drill.
Isn't this the same as your last point? To me practice is about drills, or in a VR case mini games that replicate the types of things done in real-world practices
No I didn't. I mean the practice mode when only 1 person is handling the ball at a time, and no one is guarding you. In Scrimmage they gaurd you, in Standard you can shoot the ball alone from anywhere. Standard Practice Mode is like a practice shoot-around, tut you can only shoot at one basket in 2K3.

Here's a link to the fleshed out idea for a new Practice Mode. When newbies come aboard I usually assume that they've read some of the existing forum and understand some of the threads that have occured in the past, sorry about that

I didn't really like this idea, I think a player's ratings should go up or down compared to what kind of stats you put up for that season mostly. Meaning how much better or worse they did stat-wise compared to their actual player ratings. And maybe add the training camp idea to give them 1-3 extra rating points, depending on what part you train.
