A NOTE FROM K BOMBER:
Given that some guys are now creating endless threads on essentially the music scene, this thread has now been developed as the OFFICIAL - Music Discussion Thread.
I'd suggest that it would save a lot of confusion and the creation of redundant threads if any new discussions on the music scene get placed as posts in this existing thread. Watch what you post, watch what you link, inappropriate materials provided in either of those two veins will be acted on as always. Remember, it's a G-Rated board and will remain that way
I hope we understand each other
Have fun...........

who was first 2 leave NWA?
Don Mega... Ice Cube
why did eazy and dre beef?
Their debut album was suppose to be a NWA album but it was more known for Eazy E and the NWA. It was pretty much Eazy E's album. Eazy was also getting a bigger cut and trying to screw everyone over with the manager. Ice Cube split than Dre left with Snoop and started Death Row Records.

Rahzel. Not sure of the spelling

Speaking as somebody that was born & raised in Chicago and that is heavily into hip-hop (especially, the late-'80's stuff), Common Sense wasn't an original member of the Native Tounges and Chi Ali was never in the group. It started out with Afrika Bambaataa, The Jungle Brothers, and Queen Latifah. They officially became a group when De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest ---> (my favorite music group of all-time) joined in. Later came Monie Love and they came out with one of my favorite cuts, "Buddy". The rest (minus Chi Ali) came onboard in the early-'90's. Soon after, they all went their separate ways, except for 'De La' and the 'Tribe'. They stayed together, as separate groups, well into the late-'90's and even into the 21st century (at least, De La Soul, anyway). Check out this link (http://www.mp3.com/native-tongues/artists/496788/biography.html) for more info.

I think Ren's last album is Ruthless for Life unless something came out recently. I never bought it but have heard some of it and I liked it. Shock of the Hour is his best IMO. Ren is one of the most underated MC's ever. At times Ren came fiercer than Ice Cube and sometimes outshined him lyrically when NWA was still together. Ren and Ice Cube don't get the credit they deserve.

I mostly agree with you but I actually put Eazy in his own class. Nobody was like him and I think he stands on his own. The one thing that puts Eazy a little below some of the greats is the fact that Ice Cube wrote his lyrics. I have to give Eazy credit though because his best work IMO was Its On 187um Killa because he wrote his lyrics for that and produced it. I think that cd is what really puts him with the greatest. Not only was it one of the best diss cd's ever but Eazy also produced music that's on par with Dre. Eazy was definitely one of the greatest and probably the funniest but the fact that he didn't really have a message like Pac and Big puts him under them IMO.
KRS-One
February 8th, 2005, 03:38 PM
Pac and Biggie definitly aren't the best ever.
Dre was good til Chronic 2001, now he's not so great.
Eazy was pretty good other than the fact he didn't write/produce much of his own stuff.
Rakim, KRS-One, Roots Manuva, Slick Rick, and Big Daddy Kane are all better than Eazy though.

Well i have a couple things to say, it's really nice to see that a number of you guys actually remember the late 80's, i'm 27 so i remember the good ol days, de la soul, tribe called quest, my two favorite groups before wu tang came out. I wasn't much of a west coast rap listener, because back in the days i thought west coast rappers were corney, all except for ice cube and ice-t. Nobody ever mentions Ice-T in anything, he's the godfather of all this gangster rap, he's 47 years old. I still remember the movie "colors" till this day and i haven't seen it on VHS since 1989.

But it's not that I dislike them, just have different views. Some folk's would understand that and some won't. Doesn't really matter though.....

Alright well I guess I'll start with Amerikkka's Most Wanted by Ice Cube. This was his first album and by far most intense. Ice Cube comes even harder than he did with NWA. He had just left the group because of money issues. Cube teamed up with The Bomb Squad who were the producers for Public Enemy. They did an awesome job on production and it fit Ice Cube's style perfectly. Kid's today wouldn't like it because it's an older style of production but Ice Cube's intensity is really what puts this album over the top. Death Certificate(another classic) was more controversial than this album but Amerikkka's definitely had a more raw feel to it. Both are just as good though. If you like this I suggest getting Death Certificate and The Predator.
I Give This Classic a 10/10
1. Better Off Dead- N/A
2. The ***** Ya Love To Hate- 10/10(Classic)
3. Amerikkka's Most Wnated- 10/10(Classic)
4. What They Hittin Foe- 10/10(very short but great)
5. You Can't Fade Me- 8/10
6. Once Upon A Time in The Projects- 10/10(Classic)
7. Turn Off The Radio- 8/10(another short but great song)
8. Endangered Species(Talkes From The Darkside- 10/10(featuring Chuck D and it's my favorite)
9. A Gangsta's Fairytale- 10/10
10. I'm Only Out For One Thing- 9/10(features Flavor Flav)
11. Get Off My **** and Tell Yo ***** to Come-8/10(extremely short)
12. The Drive By- N/A
13. Rollin Wit The Lench Mob-9/10
14. Who's The Mack-8/10
15. It's A Man's World-9/10
16. The Bomb- 10/10(perfect ending)

No your not the only one. His music is definitely becoming soft. The albums I like from him are Doggystyle(obviously),Doggfather,Top Dogg, and The Last Meal. Da Game Is To Be Sold.... was pure garbage and his worst. Paid Da Cost To Be Da Boss wasn't too bad. R&G I actually liked for a short period but I admit it's not really hip-hop. It got boring for me pretty quick. Snoop didn't sell out as bad as some other people though. Snoop somewhat implies himself that R&G isn't a hip-hop album. He's changed his direction and I can respect it. His life has changed too much for him to act like he used to. He's now a father who lives a somewhat normal life now. I would love to see him pair up with Dre again.

I'm going to review *****z4Life which is a classic album that is extremely slept on. Most people think Straight Outta Compton when they hear NWA but *****z4Life was a landmark album also. Straight Outta Compton is NWA's best because of Ice Cube's presence but NWA held their own without him. The production was way ahead of it's time and it was one of the first albums to have a G-Funk influence. This isn't a G-Funk album but this is where Dre really started to shine with his production. He also is more aggressive on this album than any other. MC Ren also became more aggressive and Eazy started to use his sexual humor more often which was very good and boring at times. In terms of beats this could compete with some of the best production even if it were released today. At the time of it's release it sold more than Straight Outta Compton but Straight Outta Compton is what they are remembered for and that makes sense because the group was as its strongest. DJ Yella and Dre really helped put together a great album. MC Ren was definitely the stongest on the mic and Eazy added the humor. It includes a lot of skits but they are relevant to the cd(somewhat). The copy I have of this includes the 100 Miles and Runnin EP on the disc but I wont count it on my overall rating even though I will rate the individual track from it.
I give *****z4Life a 9.5/10
1. Prelude-10/10(Not a full song but the beat is awesome and MC Ren tears it up)
2. Real *****z Don't Die-10/10(Awesome Production and an NWA classic)
3. *****z 4 Life-10/10(This song alone shows how ahead of its time the production was)
4. Protest(skit)-N/A(People protesting an NWA concert)
5. Appetite For Destruction-10/10
6. Don't Drink That Wine-N/A(funny the first time I heard it)
7. Always Into Somethin-10/10(Biggest hit on the album that anyone with San Andreas has probably heard)
8. Message to B.A.-N/A(diss on Ice Cube where they compare him to Benedict Arnold because of the way he betrayed the group)
9. Real *****z-10/10(Diss on Ice Cube. If you've never heard this then download it or buy this album. It's one of my favorite NWA songs. MC Ren shines the most IMO.
10. To Kill a Hooker- N/A(Who would've guessed,they kill a hooker)
11. One Less *****- 8/10
12. Findum,****em and Flee-9/10
13. Automobile-7/10(not a real song but Eazy is very funny.)
14. She Swallowed-9/10(This plays into Eazy's strengths.)
15. I'd Rather **** You-9/10(Eazy solo which is pretty funny)
16. Approach To Danger-10/10(Most hardcore in the album)
17. 1-900-2-Compton- N/A
18. The Dayz Of The Wayback-10/10(a song reflecting their life in a calm and reflective manner. It's still the same message they always told but in a different way.)
The following 4 were on the 100 Miles and Runnin EP
100 Miles and Runnin-10/10(A classic NWA song which is one of their most agrressive. Dre really comes harder on this than he ever has)
Just Don't Bite It-8/10  (I really don't know what to say)
Sa Prize Pt. 2-10/10
Kamurshol-same beat as the Prelude except it's just an add for *****z4Life

Most of my favorite albums still have songs that I wouldn't give a perfect rating to. Tupac really had something to say on every song and the production was great. If you don't have the album I would definitely buy it or at least find a way to listen to it. You may not give everthing a perfect rating but I promise there wont be a song you don't like.

Redman- Whut? Thee Album
This isn't the first album of his that I bought, but it maybe his best (but all his albums are great). Eric Sermon comes with that great east coast-style funk. Red's at his best with off the wall lines like, "I'm too hot, some say I got more 'Juice' than Tupac, my brother I'm laughin' hahaha, time for some action". The Funk Doc just comes raw and uncut, and he even throws in a song warning about unprotected sex. Just a classic LP that mixes hardcore hip-hop with humor that he's been known for since day one.
1. Time 4 Sum Aksion - (10/10) This track kills with the B Real sample, best way to open album.
2. Da Funk - (10/10) Just some old P-funk mix with an ill MC. Gotta love it.
3. News Break - N/A
4. So Ruff - (8/10)
5. Rated R - (10/10) Red spits some hard a** sh*t on this track. Throws in some great lines about messing up Jason, Freddy, and Micheal.
6. Watch Yo Nuggets - (10/10) Eric Sermon comes correct on possibly the best track on the album.
7. Psycho Dub - N/A
8. Jam 4 U - (9/10)
9. Blow Your Mind - (10/10)
10. Hardcore - (8/10)
11. Funky Uncles - N/A "I like Hammer. Hammer time."
12. Redman meets Reggie Noble - (9/10)
13. Tonight's da Night - (10/10) On a smooth a** track he still
spits that hard sh*t. This again is arguably the best track on the album.
14. Blow Your Mind (Remix) - (10/10) I don't have to say anything about how ill this track is. And, he produced it (or to correct "Reggie" produced it).
15. I'm a Bad - (9/10)
16. Sessed One Night - N/A
17. How to Roll a Blunt - (10/10) Is very self-explanatory.
18. A Day of Sooperman - (10/10) Best Sooperman track of all his LPs IMO.
19. Encore - N/A
Overall: 10/10

WTF don't critisize anyone in this thread. We all know hip-hop and you've only been here for a few days. Your just a racist ***** who goes around critisizing everyones opinions. You havn't read all of my posts and both Wu Tang and Rakim are in my top ten artists/groups of all time. Rakim is actually #4 on my list. Do you expect me to review every hip-hop album ever made? If you think we know nothing then lets see you review Paid In Full. Personally I think Paid In Full,Let The Rythm Hit Em,Don't Sweat The Technique, and Follow The Leader are all classics. Here's my review for All Eyez on Me. I chose to review it because I said Me Against the World was better. All Eyez On Me is still one of the greaest albums ever but just isn't quite as perfect or as personal as Me Against the World. Of course you have songs like I Ain't Mad or Life Goes On which are Tupac at his best but you also get a lot of commercial songs about woman. It's still great though and out of the 27 songs there's only a few I don't like which is an amazing accomplishment. I just don't see as much perfection on this as Me Against the World. Now if you are looking at this album from a commercial or mainstream point of view then this may be the greatest album ever. It had more hits than most people have on all of their albums combined. I just feel that Tupac didn't really address all this issues that concerned him on this album like he did on Me Against the World. With that said, Pac was good at making any type of song and he does that on this album. All Eyez on me isn't in my top 10 albums ever but it's definitely in the 11-20 range. I really don't know where I rate it off the top of my head. As far as Pac goes in general all of his pre-death albums were different but great in their own way. 2Pacalypse Now was a political album with an aggressive young Pac. Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z was a little less politcal and dealt with more of his personal issues while also adding a more commercial sound. Tupac was great at hitting the mainstream with his message while not selling out. Sure he had plenty of mainstream hits but he still had something to say even in the most commercial songs he made unlike artists today who use the mainstream for money only.
Book 1:
1. Ambitoinz Az A Ridah-10/10(Perfect Way to start the album)
2. All Bout U-10/10(Commercial but it has a great beat and was interesting)
3. Skandalouz-10/10
4. Got My Mind Made Up-10/10(Great guest appearence with Method Man and Redman sticking out the most here)
5. How Do You Want It-9/10
6. 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted-10/10(Classic)
7. No More Pain-8.5/10
8. Heartz Of Men-9/10
9. Life Goes On-10/10(One of the greatest songs he ever made. This is what seperates Pac from many other artists. This is extremely sad but still has a somewhat positive vibe at the same time. )
10. Only God Can Judge Me Now-10/10
11. Tradin War Stories-10/10
12. California Love Remix-7/10(not even close to the original)
13. I Ain't Mad At Cha-10/10
14. What'z Ya Phone #-8/10
Book 2:
1. Can't C Me-10/10(great way to start the 2nd disc after the extremely serious songs near the end of disc 1. Dre was great with the production. Sounds just like something you would hear from Doggystyle. George Clinton even does some background vocals which is great)
2. Shorty Wanna Be a Thug-10/10
3. Holla At Me-9.5/10
4. Wonda Why They Call U *****-8/10
5. When We Ride-9/10(Really crazy and unique background noises in the production that really drew me in.)
6. Thug Passion-8/10
7. Picture Me Rollin-10/10(Classic)
8. Check Out Time-7.5/10
9. Ratha Be Ya *****-9.5/10
10. All Eyez on Me-10/10(One of my favorite Pac songs. If you havn't heard it the song has the same beat as Street Dreams by Nas. It was Pac's beat first and then Nas used it and put the song on It Was Written. Both songs are great.)
11. Run Tha Streetz-9/10
12. Aint Hard 2 Find-9/10
13. Heaven Ain't Hard 2 Find-10/10(Not a sad song but gives a somewhat sad vibe considering the death of Pac(I believe he's dead).

I can't argue with you since it's a matter of opinion. Part of me wants to agree because even though there are some songs I just don't think fit there are so many great ones. The double album was probably a bigger accomplishment by Pac than Me Against The World but I just felt there was more perfection on Me Against The World. If Pac had made this album one disc with the 22 best songs I couldn't argue with you on that. Actually since the songs are so long then even have that be a double album and I probably would not only say it's Pac's greatest but the greatest ever. I'll admit I probably listen to this album more than any other because it has so many tracks. The replay value just never goes away.

I'm going to post the top 10 albums I listen to the most. There are other albums that I believe are greater because they have more of an impact on hip-hop. I still love all the albums I put in my top 10 of all-time list but here's what I've listened to the most over the 6 months or so. Most other classics I liked as much for the first 2 or 3 months that I had them but these are the ones that have the most replay value. The biggest example of an album that's a top 10 of all-time but doesn't have the same replay value as others is It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back. It doesn't have the same impact it did in the 1980's. When I first bought it I listened non-stop for the first few months and now I listen to it once every few months.
1. All Eyez On Me(2Pac)
2. *****z4Life(NWA)(Straight Outta Compton is better but I didn't buy this until about 5 months ago. It's still in my cd players quite a bit.)
3. Illmatic(Nas)
4. Doggystyle(Snoop Dogg)
5. Me Against The World(2Pac)
6. Reasonable Doubt(Jay-Z)
7. It's A Big Daddy Thing(Big Daddy Kane)
8. Paid In Full(Rakim)
9. The Chronic(Dr. Dre)
10. Ready To Die(Biggie)
Also, I listen to Amerikkkaz Most Wanted, Death Cartificate, and The Predator quite often.

It's a borderline classic IMO. It's not one of the elite albums of all-time but It could be considered a classic. It's not an undisputed classic though. It's hard for me to really give a legitimate answer. In that sense it wouldn't be because I actually have a tough time deciding. It's definitely a great album though. I've got an idea for our next poll. Why don't we ask whether Stillmatic is a classic. Personally I think it is a classic. I'm bored so here's my review for The Blueprint. I'll do Stillmatic some other time.
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00005O54T.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
The Blueprint was definitely Jay-Z's most personal and best album since Reasonable Doubt. Of course it isn't as good as Reasonable Doubt but it's a great album. Jay took a different direction on this album and it was for the better. Jay didn't have nearly as much mainstream music on this album with the exception of the few songs. I still don't know if I consider it a classic but If he had added 2 songs I would call it an undisputed classic. I would have liked to see This Can't Be Life and Soon You'll Understand which were on the Dynasty although it would have made the dynasty even more mediocre. He had good production but did nothing with it on that album. Those 2 tracks just really sound like something that would be on the Blueprint. To get back on topic the Blueprint had great production, good subject matter and lyrics from Jay.
I give the Blueprint a 9/10
1. The Rulers Back-10/10
2. Takeover-10/10
3. Izzo(H.O.V.A)-8/10(way too overplayed)
4. Girls,Girls,Girls-8.5/10
5. Jigga That *****-7/10(production is the only thing that saves this)
6. U Don't Know-9/10
7. Hola Hovito-7.5/10(once again production saves this)
8. Heart Of The City-10/10(favorite song on the cd and one of my all-time favorite Jay songs.)
9. Never Change-10/10
10. Song Cry-10/10
11. All I Need-8/10
12. Renegade-10/10(Em really did murder Jay on his own ****)
13. Blueprint(Momma Loves Me)-10/10(All 3 tracks on this are great and get a 10/10. The Girls,Girls,Girls remix is as good as the first in my opinon. I actually may like it better).
After listening to the album today I think I may say it's a classic. The 3 songs on the last track put it over the top for me. It's really a 15 track cd and only 2 arn't hot.

Here's my Stillmatic review.
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00005U2LB.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
Stillmatic was arguably Nas's best album since Illmatic. It Was Written and I Am are great but this is just as great if not better. After Nastradamus (which was considered too commerical by many) Nas really came hard on this album. Some people thought Nas's success was coming near it's end but Stillmatic probably raised his popularity more than any other album even though Illmatic is the best. Nas had some thing to say on every track whether he was dissing Jay-Z or talking about our problems in society today. Production was also near perfect
This album gets a 10/10
1. The Intro-N/A
2. Ether-10/10(He slightly beat out Jay-Z's takeover with this one)
3. Got Urself A...-9/10
4. Smokin-7/10
5. You're Da Man-10/10
6. Rewind-9.5/10(creative)
7. One Mic-10/10
8. 2nd Childhood-10/10
9. Destroy And Rebuild-10/10(Nas got creative once again by using the Bridge Is Over chorus and dissing many MC's such as Mobb Deep)
10. The Flyest-10/10
11. Rule-9.5/10(don't agree 100% with him but at least he speaks his mind and lays everything out there)
12. My Country-8/5/10
13. What Goes Around-10/10
14. Every Ghetto-8.5/10

Yea, every Nas album is a classic except for Nastradamus. This is just my opinion but I feel Streets Disciple will be considered a classic in a few years. Nastradamus was still good IMO even though many people critisized it. Out of the 13 songs(not including the prediction and the outcome)I like 10 of them. There arn't really any standout tracks that you will remember Nas for but it was a solid effort IMO. If some of the tracks from Lost Tapes hadn't been leaked some of them would have stayed on Nastradamus and possibly make it a classic. He had to make 5 or 6 new songs for the album because a lot of it had leaked onto the internet. Also we can't forget that Nas is held to a higher standard than most artists. Nastradamus is still better than 90% of the commercial crap we get today.
Here's my ranking of Nas albums. Also just because I have something ranked 6th doesn't make it much worse than the 2nd or 3rd album. God's Son is a borderline classic but the rest are undisputed classic IMO.
1. Illmatic(Classic)10/10
2. It Was Written(Classic)10/10
2. Stillmatic(Tied with It Was Written)10/10

Since people are always comparing Nas to Jay-Z here's the best Jay albums in order. Nas is definitely better in my opinion but Jay still has some great work. Jay is much more consistent in albums sold but not even close in quality to Nas.

2. Blueprint(I consider it a classic now)9/10
3. Volume 1(very good but not even close to Reasonable Doubt)8.5/10
3. Black Album(tied with Volume 1)8.5/10
5. Volume 2(it's very close to Volume 1 and the Black Album)8/10
6. The Dynasty(Awesome production is here but it really feels like a half
hearted effort from Jay. There are still some really great songs though. This album had potential to be great)7.5/10
7. Blueprint 2(WTF was he thinking when he agreed to make a double album. It wasn't even his idea and if he had shortened it up then it could have been much better. 2.1 also failed to have some of the best tracks.)7/10
8. Volume 3(Way too commercial and it's just a mediocre effort)-6.5/10

Do you guys think It's Dark and Hell Is Hot is a classic album. I definitely say it is. DMX was definitely at his best on this album and the production is arguably the best he's ever had on an album. I also think you could argue that Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood is also classic. It's not as good as It's Dark...... but it's still a great album.

yea, son, thats it
I LUV THAT SONG.......i can relate to it so much, where i used to live, cats is still in the past, tryin to stay young, not tryin to grow up, not realizin that life is changin around them, That corner store aint there anymore, the Mall done added 6 more stores.... u gotta take advantage of wats goin on, but you also gotta expect it to pass and let it pass, cuz life goes on
You should live, there's only one life that's the physical
Rich or poor in jail why the heck should you be miserable
Things happen for reasons, the clock keeps tickin'
Love could have your heart beat skippin', thugs turn to religion
The chick you love could start to hate you, the mess you use to do escape you
Things that make you laugh represent the past
Reminisce the block gamble gees on the floor
*****s use to be the man, you don't see 'em no more
Your favorite restaurants and favorite stores, they tore 'em down
Turn 'em into shopping malls the hood is like a ghost town
Haunted by souls who thought that time stood still
Just live your life to the fullest, never look back, it's real
HOOK:
Everything must eventually come to an end
So try to savor your moments, cuz time flies don't it
The beauty of life, you gotta make it last for the better
Cuz nothin' lasts forever, ya know
I said everything eventually comes to an end
So try to savor your moments, cuz time flies don't it
The beauty of life, you gotta make it last for the better
Cuz nothin' lasts forever
Ya know, ya now, nothin' lasts forever ya know let it go, let it go

Hands down my favorite Artist, and Album respectivley. I wouldn't say he fell off, but i will say he lost respect for the industry, he openly admits that now. I agree that he didn't really fall off. He just lost the hunger he had in the early years. I would say his lightest album(if you can even say he had one)was the Grest Depression but I still liked it. The Grand Champ was great when I first got it but for some reason I just can't listen to it over and over again like his other albums. It's a good album but somethings missing. I like all of his albums but his first 2 are my favorites.

I'm a Metallica fan too. I have all of their studio albums except for S&M. I actually wasn't a hip-hop fan until around 1998 when DMX came out. Eminem ended up bringing my main interest from Metal to Hip-Hop. I don't listen to much Metal anymore and really don't know any new bands. Metallica will always be one of my favorites though. I remember my first two albums were The Black Album and Load. I actually didn't even know about their best music until 3 summers ago. I ended up completing my collection of Metallica albums. Their best material is anything before the black album IMO. The Black Album is classic(even though it was more commercial) along with everything before it. Load and Reload are very good. Garage Inc. had some really nice song covers and St. Anger was too weird for me. I ended up liking it for about a month but I can't listen to it anymore. I'm glad someone brought up Metallica. I'm listening to Fight Fire with Fire right now and it's just as good as it's always been.

It's Dark and H.ell Is Hot is one of the best debut albums I've ever heard. DMX's voice is unlike anyone else's. You could compare Ja Rule but his voice just sounds like a cheap imitation. Right from the Intro you know this is going to be a dark album and a great one too. DMX was perfect and the production was flawless. Dame Grease and P Killer Trackz handle most of the production with 13 songs combined. Irv Gotti did 2 tracks and Swizz Beats did one song. DMX and the producers did a good job creating an album that appealed to the commercial audience without being pop. It's one of the most intense albums I've ever heard and it never gets boring. It's a consistent album with now weak point and there are no songs that I skip.
Overall- 10/10(It was tough for me to give it 10/10 but DMX brought great hip-hop back to the mainstream and every song is great)
1. Intro- 10/10(One of the best intros ever)
2. Ruff Ryders Anthem-9/10(Would be 10/10 but it was just too overplayed)
3. ****in Wit D- 9/10
4. Storm(skit)- N/A
5. Look Thru My Eyes- 9.5/10
6. Get At Me Dog- 9.5/10
7. Let Me Fly- 9.5/10
8. X-Is Coming-10/10
9. Damien-10/10(This song is addictive)
10. How's It Goin Down- 10/10(a lot critisized him for immitating Pac but this song is great regardless)
11. Mickey(Skit)
12. Crime Story-9/10
13. Stop Being Greedy-10/10
14. ATF-10/10(Short but one of my favorites. BOOM,BOOM,BOOM)
15. For My Dogs-9.5/10
16. I Can Feel It- 10/10
17. Prayer(Skit)
18. The Convo-9.5/10
19. *****z Done Started Something0 9.5/10
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00000G3X7.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
DMX's 2nd album has the same formula as his debut and comes pretty close to being as good. Production is amazing like the first one but isn't quite as perfect. DMX is as good as always but there are a lot more guest appearences. Everyone else is still great though and DMX makes another classic IMO. Casual DMX fans wont like this as much as the first but hardcore fans will love it. Flesh Of My Flesh,Blood of My Blood is basically a continuation of It's Dark and Hell Is Hot.
9.5/10(One Again there are no tracks that I skip)
1. My *****s- 9/10(great intro but not as long or as good as his first album)
2. Bring Your Whole Crew- 9.5/10
3. Pac Man(skit)
4. Aint No Way- 8.5/10
5. We Don't Give A ****-10/10
6. Keep Your **** the Hardest- 9/10
7. Coming From- 10/10
8. It's All Good- 9.5/10
9. The Omen-10/10(Crazy track that's basically a sequel to Damien. Marilyn Manson actually makes this song even more mysterious and he fits in well. It took a while to grow on me but I love it)
10. Slippin-10/10(his best song ever IMO)
11. No Love For Me- 9.5/10
12. Dogs For Life- 9.5/10
13. Blackout-9.5/10
14. Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood-10/10
15. Heat-9/5/10
16. Ready To Meet Him- 10/10

Does anyone think Tha Doggfather is a classic? It's definitely considered a classic on the West Coast. I'm not sure if I would call it classic or not. Snoop definitely put out a great album considering the fact that he didn't have Dre on production. It wasn't even close to Doggystyle but it was a very consistent album. There weren't really any bad tracks and most of them were very good. I don't know if it has enough standout tracks to be considered a classic but right now I'm leaning towards saying yes. What do you guys think?

One of my favorite rappers is Big Daddy Kane and his first 2 albums are both classics. He had great lyrics and maybe the best flow I've ever heard. Rakim may be the only one better but I rate them evenly as far as skills go. Big Daddy Kane has a lot of cockiness but also has intelligence. A lot of rappers claim they are great but Big Daddy Kane could back it up with his music. He's one of the few MC's(along with Rakim) that's lyrics shine more than his beats. The good production he got was just a bonus to his rapping ability.

It's obviously not quite as good as Illmatic but how can you follow up the best hip-hop album ever(IMO). Nas had a lot to live up to and he made a classic. A lot of artists tend to fall of after they have a classic debut but Nas isn't like most artists.
Every Song is great on the album

Infinite-10/10
I urge anyone who hasn't heard this to download it. It's extremely hard to find. This was before he was famous. He was rapping from a completely different perspective at the time. This whole album is about his life. Lyrics are just as good anything he's done and the production is surprisingly good considering that it was a low budget album. The production is actually amazing by Eminem. Even if you hate Eminem listen to this album. This album is really a masterpiece.

thats good news. It's a small circle on how that came up. Em was supposed to do production on Mobb Deeps las album, but Alchemist did most of it. Alchemist is/was tightly associated with Cypress Hill, who have been doing songs underground w. D-12 for about the last year.... funny how things work out.

Warning: This aint a Will Smith CD. This Album is straight up gangsta $hi#
from track to track. This is for true fans of real gangster rap, not that watered down version commercialised Bull$%&t. I have been waiting on a CD like this for a long time and it finally came! For those who dont know Yukmouth and Cbo are probably 2 of the most slept on rappers in the industry.
They both have been puttin it down on the West coast underground scene for years and both have several solo albums. But this CD has got to be one of the best if not the best underground CD ive heard in a loooooong time! IMO its an underground classic but it wont get recognized as such until maybe years later.
My favorite tracks are
'Go Hard In the Paint'
'He aint a thug'
'American Dream' Yuk solo
My LifeC-Bo solo
Killa Cali f/Spice 1
If you want me to be honest there is no weak tracks on here. Track to track the beats are dope and original. If your scared of gangster rap u may think this s&*% is too hard, but if you are a fan i suggest you cop this.
I doubt if this album sells 100,000 copies but i dont think Cbo and Yuk care. This album wasnt meant for the mainstream any way.

Regulate The G Funk Era isn't as good as The Chronic or Doggystyle but Warren G put together a great album with one of the greatest hip-hop songs of all time, Regulate. This album has no bad tracks and Warren G proved he could have success on his own. I also like how Warren G added his own style to G-Funk. He didn't try to copy The Chronic or Doggystyle. This is a good album to just relax too.
