I think they definitely need a QB...at least 1 more BIG receiver and Unfortunately, I think keeping Wannstedt (Sp) was a big mistake. This team needs to be Psychologically adjusted...they have talented players...I think they always fall short "mentally" and THAT is the Coach's Responsibilty. That's why I think he needs to go. You need to stay healthy too and rebuild your O line. Maybe not all of it but again...GOOD COACHING and TEACHING of the Fundamentals can help improve the skills of the players already there. The Pocket was a problem...it hardly held up.

You have Ricky. You have McMichael and you have Chambers. Get a QB and you guys should be great. They should also start thinking about a new young STUD LB cause Seau's days are numbered. Maybe get 2 of them.

I really FEEL the main problem though with the FINS is Coaching. It starts there. I didn't like that guy in Chicago and despite his somewhat decent Winning %...he's not winning the game that counts. Some of those guys on that team deserve a RING....It's starting to look like the Curse of The Marino. Over 20 years of nothing to show is a long time. Dolphins need to get their s-it together...and fast.

1st thing we gotta do is plug Wayne (owner) into a mental hospital, and try to figure out WHY in WORLD he feels that coack WONTWIN deserves not only to STAY coach of Miami, but GETS a two year EXTENSION...

OMG, We got rid of Don Shula because he could not escape first round of playoffs with a FAR LESS TAlented team, yet coack Dave "WONTWIN" keeps his job despite two FAILED season ,not making playoffs Either time, and EACH time had the MOST talent in the Division..

In fact, Miami Dolphins in 2002 where the First team in NFL HISTORY to Own leagues TOP Runner and a TOP 3 rated DEFENSE and NOT qualify for playoffs-------so let me get this right!!!!

We EXTEND contract of coach WONTWIN because he manages to Fail to get in playoffs with a squad that had 5 PRO BOWLERS (2002),leagues Leading rusher, #3 rated OVERALL defense, #2 defense in points per game allowed, and a QB that had at time NFL`s best RECORD for a starter....What gives? Worse yet,this year Miami was 10-6, and of the 6 losses, ONLY the shutout loss to Pats in Boston and the Beatdown Titans gave`em did MIAMI NOT hold a LEAD inside last 8 minutes of the game....And 3 times, WE HAD ball INSIDE opponents 30 with a SHOT at winning game as time expired and FAILED all 3 times....

Somewhere u lay blame on players----but it HAS to be MORE than that.....

How about NOT throwing short 2 yard flat passes to START game so that DEFENSE sneaks up towards Line of scrimmage so they are in perfect position to attack these SHORTER passes, but in light---u see, this ALSO moves defenders up CLOSER so when RICKY tries to RUN the ball, there is NOTHING but enemy Jersey`s all around....

How about a 3rd and 1 versus Pats in first game, that we lost in OT...We had 3rd and 1, with LESS than 4 minutes to go, ricky on field, and coach Dave DUMMY elects to try a DEEP OUT pass wiith WEAK ARMED FIELDLER, versus ZONING defense at that----gee`s, u wonder why it gets picked and returned for 6?

Get rid of Dave CANTCOACH, and instantly we improve....

dolphins try too many big plays,without big play talent on offense!!!!!they need to play slo motion football hand off,hit te over middle,a few long passes not as many as they often try!!!!!

I agree with Henchmen....a New Coaching staff all around would help...and a better QB wait not better decent...Fiedler isnt even decent the phins were probably better off with Ray Lucas than Fiedler.....all the blame cant be squarely put on Wannstedt because Turner was calling the Offensive plays...

Hate me makes a good point. I was praying when the Dolphins missed the playoffs they would fire the whole staff...to my surprise they were keeping everyone. Thank god for Al Davis though. Norv had to go! His play calling was so mondane and redundant. Ricky right, Ricky left, screen pass. It did not take a great defense of cooridantor to figure out how to stop the Dolphins.

Bringing up Shula is very big. He was pushed out of Miami when JJ said he was interested in coaching. You may not know but Shula coached the Dolphins to their last AFC championship game. he also had a better record in his last four years than JJ did. He won 3 more games. 2 division titles, and he did not lose 61-3 in a playoff game.

I am so upset with the Dolphins organization. We are a slightly above average organization. Good enough to make the playoffs but not make it out of the first round. If we do then we will get crushed in the second round. It has been that way since around 93. Our last superbowl was 84...the Pats have been to 3 and won two of them...the bills 4! They need to concentrate on winning and not just being good enough.

First thing first--GET A QB. No matter what anyone says, you still need an above average QB to win games in the playoffs. Fielder just can not make the throws needed to win close games. We need a big time receiver to take the pressure off of Chambers, who has really not shined in being the number one guy. Releasing McKnight was a very good move! He has aveage hands and is a horrible route runner.

I really wish we could get rid of Dave though...bring back Shula...the game had not passed him by. The GM at the time made some bad personnel moves, but Shula still produced. Unlikely, but they need to make a huge coaching change. Completely dump the coaching staff and bring in a new energy with a new QB. I would take a guy like Jim Fassel next year. He has heart, his players just quit on him. He has a pretty good offensive mindset and good with player talent.

Man, your boys got punked this weekend. The 2nd rated defense against the run gave up 180 yds to the 2nd and 3rd string RB's. Funny!

I hope your not blaming the win on the refs. Yeah, you made mistakes, but we shoved the ball down your throat and proved who has the best D in the state and the league!!!!!
