I'm a ranger fan but i must agree playoffs are not going to happen. The jagr deal was great but frankly we don't need any more offense. We have talent and superstars but they underachieve. No offfense to great ranger Mark Messier but don't u think it's sad that a 43 yr old as great as he is is leading the team in scoring. We need solid defenseman and a goaltender. Dunham is killing us except when we play the Islanders. I think his record is 8-0-2 against them. Unfortunatly there are other teams that we play in the season other than the islanders. I this is a critical week for us. We're like six points behind the islanders for the 8th spot. We play Florida, Washington, and Buffalo twice. Winnable games right? Guess not. Plus lindros got his 8th concussion and won't be back soon. The only answer to this is to Fire Sather besides it worked with the New York Giants and the Knicks. Trust me that is the only solution but it won't happen b/c of our owner and possibly Sather's relationship with Messier going back to Edmonton. So until then we're screwed. In my opinion this is a complete joke that the NY Rangers one of the original six hasn't made the playoffs in seven yrs and looks like its gonna be eight.

Dunham has ALWAYS been a streaky goaltender...plays great when he is on, but unfortunately thats not very often. Jagr.....done zilch since leaving Pittsburgh, an overpaid whiner, who despite his talents can'even come close to SNIFFING Gretzky's or Lemieux's jockstraps
