whats up guys... been playing alot the last few days and let me just tell you I am getting fed up with the 90% of people ive played recently. Iused to use alot of one-timers but after playin nux, bizzy, hockey89... im really tryin to get into sim hockey. But so many damn people ive been playin only use the smove and dive pokecheck every play.. it is so damn irritating, im losing to people ranked 2000 because ill try to play sim and these idiots ue all of these money goals. And again that dive pokecheck garbage makes me so mad

now you know how I felt before some leagues started and more ppl decided to play SIM. My fav. thing to do to those players that like to dive everywhere: play keep away hockey. Get the early goal and don't let them touch the puck again

I think that I might have declined a challenge last night and I am sorry. As I perceived, I thought you might be playing that style still. Personally, I am in the same boat you are. It's like 10 year madness in there. I'm a man and made a mistake. You are trying to adapt (like NUX19 showed me) to sim and I wouldn't mind lacing up the skates with ya again.

A suggestion...rame the f'ing puck in the net against those idiots like a mad man, or like NUX said, play possession hockey. They're going to get the message. Reserve yourself for the true players. I experiment a lot on those morons regardless of the outcome, in which I almost always win.

nah i dont think u did.... actually I think I declined one of yours because I was trying to up my ranking, nothing personal at all. Finally get to #34 and theyre resettin em, go figure. Actually we played a game the other night and u used a few one timers, nothing cheap at all and I went and highlighted one timers in the stats and you stopped. I think you won 2-0 or 2-1 but it was def a good game, and I look foward to playing again. Dont get me wrong I played abusing the one timers for a long time and thats where i got alot of wins but i finally "saw the light" and realize that it takes no skill and is not rewarding at all. the dive poke check thing... thats another story i HATE it, neways peace

So you think "Blindly throwing the puck at the net and hoping for a lucky bounce" is more skillful than one timers?

That's a good point. I like to throw it in there for face-offs. I think too much of anything should be the point. It would be nice if a lot of the other players out there would learn to develop their games. It would make it better for all of us.

Sidenote: My Kings got your Oilers in the crosshairs Oilerfan!

Well it looks like the kings may win that game, but at least we knocked another regular out of your lineup.

I havent played since December, My Islanders will beat all your asses in a clean, sim game (Excepetions: Oilerfan, KLPATS, Bizzy. good guys you are) If you play clean, i'll take you down. If you play like tasteice, cheap *** moves w/ Colorado, Detroit, and Voncouver, you might get a cheap win.

Well it figures the oilers would fall apart in the last minute. Really typical of their entire season. I swear...an entire team made up a 10 year olds could probably manage to get at least get ONE point when their team is up by a goal with less than a minute to go in the third. Enjoy cheering your crippled team on in the playoffs...

Whats wrong with using Voncouver? :D

Oilersfan- Still mad because our game ended on a lucky bounce? haha I had 2 players in front for the tip. If this was 2k3 I probably would have had a deflection goal a lot sooner.

No I didnt forget that you pulled your goalie after you scored on the 1-timer. The game probably would have never went 3xOT if you didnt.

But in NHL, you always hear: Throw it on net, put bodies in front, jam the rebounds, look for the lucky bounce especially when your team is struggling. So "blindly throwing in on net" when there are players in front seems like a good idea to me.

TLTypeS- Grr..too bad our OT game got disconnected. I was laughing when we were both under 10 shots after 2 per. Heh took awhile for you to go to EXH, hope ya had fun on Rookie settings. Thats where I usually play now.

Anyways with the records resetting Im stating I will be hanging out in Rookie1 more often then Pro1. We can use it as another ladder to climb. Interested?

Nux, I didn't really mind about that loss on a lucky bounce. How else was the game gonna end? Anyway, I think the goalies on pro are much too good for a sim style of play. It would be much more realistic playing in amateur, or rookie like you said.

you know what i hate, im an avs fan ever since they were the nordiques(used to watch em on cbc channel we get here in upstate ny) but everyone picks them or detroit its soooo annoying. I dont like playing as the avs all the time cuz it gets boring but since everyone picks them or detroit *gasp* im stuck as the canucks because there one of the few teams with enough speed to keep up with them. By the way the oilers are my second fav western team cuz there like an ahl team playin in the nhl, whenever they draft good players they lose em, plus the atmosphere in there arena seems awesome. Actually one thing i hate is that people put the game speed all the way up and wont budge so if i want to play i have to play on that its stupid, it turns in to a twitch reflex game instead of actual skill it seems very few people play hockey the way its meant to be played. And why are really bad teams actually good in the game (ie:rangers bure doesnt even play for christ sake,capitals..ect). Also how come it seems skill has nothing to do with the outcome ive outshot ppl like 50-15 and had awesome chances yet the goalies glove is like a vacuum and it makes me hit the post quite a bit when the nets wide open and i have manual aim on and i shoot for the middle of the net(WTF!? seriously!?) I usually always have like possession in the offensive zone for like 20-30% w/ tons of times when the goalie should have not made saves and the other ppl have like 10-15% and they shoot easily stoppable shots and my goalie who may even be rated higher lets them in and i lose like 4-1,3-1 and so on. No team in the NHL who outplays their opponents like that on a consistent basis loses like that on a consistent basis its frustrating, also ****ed that leader boards get reset after a month..actually ****ed the get reset at all i had my record to 44-14-1-5 and my ranking up to a 124 and it got reset no i feel like theres no earning your ranking

ps:does anyone else get ****ed off that they wont update the rosters for online play plus they havent made a patch to fix the money plays(i mean its not that hard to do those two things every other company who has things like this in their games releases patches and other things its about time some1 did them on console games)

I PLAY FAIR SO LOOK FOR ME ONLINE GUYS

SuppaMan- I think a lot of ppl here are in the same boat as you. If you think you are interested post a reply so I can add you to the list.

i can guarantee that all the players so far play on slower gamespeed and will not exploit the goalies to get the W.
