In my opinion, he deserved the suspension plain and simple. If he was going to talk about the game officials after the game, he should've did so in a mature manner without cussing up a storm. Well still, 2 cuss words isn't a storm, but he should've said 0 cuss words.

Shaq has the right to speak whats on his mind, but I think he just did it in the wrong way.

most definitely, but he needs to learn how to control himself, he just cost the Lakers another loss that they might have won.....they had the advantage with J. O'Neal not playin and Ron Artest having a bad night...but Shaq had to get all fired up like he the only one with problems....

I know, he has a temper problem. Is it me or does Shaq remind you of a big chubby baby that didn't get chicken wings when he asked for them?

First off, let me say that I hate Shaq. That being said, he was absoloutley right. The performance of NBA refs is appaling and is by far the worst of the 4 major sports leagues. Shaq was right and I condone his actions 100%.

Try to slog through a hockey game
The NHL is the worst Garage League of all time. I renounced the league this year and haven't watched a game because the quality of play, generally due to how the NHL has allowed the game to be played, is so brutally awful
Overall I think officiating in general is poorly handled across all the sports, especially since most of the major leagues went through their various expansion frenzies
I think all the major leagues could do with fewer teams, it would help in a lot of ways............

Actually the only real change I've seen in officiating has been in the NFL. They've added instant replay which I think was a good addition to the league. If you're going to call something that is true, at least try to get it exactly right.
I agree the officiating in the NBA is poor. But I don't condon Shaq's actions beause they were simply unprofessional. If you're going to be a "professional" basketball player, at least present yourself professional a manner. But on the officiating side of it, they really need to change some things. Such as, "Letting players play at the end of close games." I think that's totally stupid, you're going to let players get away with fouls simply because it's a run 'n gun game and it's towards the end? You see a foul, call the freakin' foul.
