I'm wondering which raquet is better a smaller one or a bigger one. I'm just starting out tennis.

for beginners use big one so u can have more chance of contact with the ball

Unless you want more control, which is veeerrrry important. I would get a mid plus just so you don't get into the habbit of using an oversive when you're older. You will get beat up.

If you are talking about the size of the racquet face, then a bigger one would be best for a beginner, because you get a better (cleaner) shot when you hit the ball in the sweet spot, which is in the center. So with a bigger face, you'll have higher chance of hitting the sweet spot.

Also, when you advance as a player, you can always convert to another racquet, whether it be smaller or still big. When you advance you will probably have to or want to convert to another racquet anyway. If you want more power, a bigger racquet face will help with that, for example, Serena Williams has a large racquet face. And if you do want more control then a narrower racquet face will help, like chippers and chargers have narrower racquets.

And if you take lessons from a teaching pro, or instructor you can also ask them for advice.
