Anytime you play ANY hockey game long enough you will find certain ways to score often. If I play a game against someone, it is my job to stop that person from scoring, no matter what they do.

There are no unstoppable goals in this game. If you play someone and you see them doing the same move, adjust your defense to stop them. Isn't that what makes the competition fun? I may not be good at all those trick moves but I like stopping them, it's a challenge. Maybe work on your manual goalie skillz. That comes in handy a lot.

If you play good defense and have a good strategy, you should be able to have good games, even with better players.

After all I think that is the best definition of SKILLED PLAYER - ability to adjust to any speed, gameplay, settings and opponents.

Player got right to play and score any way he likes as long as he having fun. And its up to me to adjust or to avoid such players.

yes in terms of a video game there can be unstoppable moves..for one if someone uses a cheat device(ie gameshark, ect) and the fact that smoves on pro and lower go in over 70% of the time if they reach the net...and yes they can be unstoppable bcuz your computer teammates are udderly retarded in this game all that they do is sit back all the time

i agree ppl can play how they want but i also have the right not to play certain ppl if i want(oh :? LOL warden maybe you dont know how to score anyone else so you defend them jk)anyway the main problem is too that the ppl who play like this all the time are also the ppl who if u manage to get a lead or are about to beat them drop the game and 99% of the time get a win and somehow sometimes give u a loss or drop or quit or maybe all 3(happened to me once DREWMOSHES!!!!! )

not that i would ever do it nor want to do it...it makes me curious how these ppl do that and get wins..actually the main curiosity comes outa how the in the h e ll did they figure out how to do that

There is no possible way you can deny that the original post is inaccurate. Believe me, the s-move is just about the easiest move in the game to stop. You just need total and complete control over one defencemen. Warden's explanation has to be the clearest version I've ever seen on these boards. I really seem to find realistic hockey unentertaining, just as real-life hockey is unentertaining. (Yet another 0-0 game going into the 956th overtime! WOOOO!)

Just to make sure that you understand.

Skill and sportsmanship are not the same thing. Player can be very good at this game but if he quits or exploits bugs and glitches than we cant call him a good sport. Yes he got skill good enough to win game but not a good sportsmanship.

Good sport may be not as good at this game - but every game with such person is a fun experience. He will not exploit glitches just to get a win by any means possible. Win or lose he will play clean fun game.

How exactly does someone come to follow hockey with this kind of attitude?

I mean, the NHL is much less entertaining nowadays than it was in the past....but it is far, far more exciting and far, far more fun to watch than football, basketball, baseball, or soccer.
