question about dekes

alright i use puck protection manual to deke out the goalie... while playing a few guys like hockey798, nux and bizzy i see them do a different variation of the puck protection deke where rthe player goes into like a backhand shot and i cant figure it out... i use classic controls can ne1 help me out?

easiest way is to use puck protect. I can say i'll score 80% of the time w/ it on rookie (thats why i stopped using it as much). Now the one im using is the manual goalie deke. You hold down L1+0 (adv. controls), deke with the left analong and let go of 0 to shoot. A lot harder to use but much more rewarding.

now i can prob say lots of you tried the manual deke and gave up on it. But once you learn how to use it correctly equals more scoring variety and the elusive 5-hole goal.

yeah i use manual goalie deke all the time on rookie..the goals look way cooler and give u a sense of reward as u fake out the goalie(keep in mind u'll likely only score on rookie or amateur this way as the goalies and defenses are way to good on pro or higher to usually score like this)and the more u use it the easier it becomes im pretty good w/ it now

yea i use the puck protect all the time... L1 + O for advance, ne1 know it for classic? i read its somethin like L1 + triangle i cant get it tho, ne help is appreciated

just try checkin the game manual or online manual or just look up controls in the controller layout when u pause the game im sure youll find ur answer between one of those options(im too lazy to look it up myself at the moment)
