Is it just me or does the new World Poker Tour seem very similar to the Word Championship Poker game already release, but not by 2k sports....The "Player Folds" in the trailer even sounds exactly the same. Maybe i missed something, but is this just a remake of that game, but with WPT players now?

No sir, this is a totally different game made by two different developers. The presentation, commentary, environments and poker pros are completely different from the wcp game. Most of the environments in this game are where actual WPT events are held.

and heres the quote i found for proof

Point of View will be developing this sequel instead of the previous studio, Coresoft, which has moved on to 2K Sports' World Poker Tour franchise. That means an all-new engine, which looks significantly better than the engine used in the last game. The characters look more realistic and seem to behave more realistically too. Even chip stacks will alter in real time, so you'll always have the exact number of chips in your stack as your bankroll dictates. You'll still be able to customize your own characters in the game, but now you'll also be able to take them through a realistic career mode that features multiple tournaments and what Crave calls a role-playing-game-type system for appearance upgrades. These will tie in to your character's skills at the table, for as we all know, appearance is everything in poker.

this game looks good too.....but basically all poker games are going to be the same IMO but with different people

Wills, you were spot on... this is practically the same game in many respects. Many menus are the same, it's the same character creator with some updates, same optimatch with fewer bugs, same developers - Coresoft and Renderware. Not to say that it isn't improved - it is. But Pratt is incorrect in saying that it's a completely different game and different developers.

But it seems like from clear back to the first Xbox live 2K football there has been some kind of online issue or another with any/all of the 2K games.

Please correct me if I am wrong on a game I might not have played on Xbox live that worked good
