I played this guy, I think it was saturday. First of all he's declined my challenges several times in the past 2 motnths. I figured if he's ranked so high so he should be a good challenge and an honest player. Well, he finally played me saturday and he's always so concerned about being a "sim" player so when we played he got up on me 2-0 and after he did he made a point to pause the game and show me the stats. His one timers were like 2 for 3 and i was i think 0 for 12. So what!! It's part of THIS game. As the game progressed I tied it up and eventually went ahead 3-2. As the game was ending this ***** quit. Can you believe it? Not only that, but it went to the infamous 18 countdown. Did he cheat to get a win? I thinkg he did. I just couldn;t believe this.

This is ridiculous. I'm not trying to expose hockey8978 or anything, but this behaviour of highlighting the one timer category has got to stop. No one needs to be constantly reminded that they need to limit their one timers. I am aware that you sim guys have this rule where one timers should be limited to 0-5 per game, which is fine, but if you're playing someone you don't know (re :their style of play) don't do this while playing in the Pro room. If I wanna take 999 one timers in a game, I should be able to, you don't need to highlight the stupid category for me, I know what I'm doing......I think!

It just depends on the player. I feel that if your "so" good, then you should be able to adapt to different styles. It doesn't take that long to find out what style one uses. I just go from game to game. I know what flies which each user.
As for hockey8978....he needs to clean his act up, because his reputation is on the southbound train to no where!

yes and no.
Yes I think people should limit their 1-T
No I don't expect everyone to do so.
The problem again lies in the default sliders. Was you 12 1-T legit or mostly P.O.T.?(I cant believe P O T is censored..) (prayers, as in a flip pass through 2 D men, cross screen to a unseen player)
Personally when I didnt care about 1-T I still averaged around 8-10 so 12 is not too bad.
just a note for you though. The Goalies in this game cheat. If you 1-T a lot the G will just slide over everytime. If you do only limit it when there is a WIDE open chance it'll go in more often. so more 1-T doesn not = more G (if anything its the opposite)

The thing that ****ed me off the most is he quit at the end of the game. He actually quit. I said no to his offering and than there it goes 18,17...0. What a *****.

In original those words are censored. I am not author of censor rules and I am not here to argue about right or wrong in regards to censor rules.
You posted those words in the way where it look like you trying to avoid censor. That is all. I just doing my job here. And every job got its own description.

I got 12 years old son. And I think :"Do I really want him to read all this words on gaming forum?" So I think 90% of parents of those "12 years old" will aprove what we trying to do here.
If you really concern about censor - go to Site Questions & Feedback
http://www.espnvideogames.com/community/forums/viewforum.php?f=42
and make your offers or ask questions there.
Lets get back to the topic.

I played someone who paused to rub in the stats. The joke was on him though cuse i had something like 2 goals in 3 shots lmao so i rubbed it back in his sorry ***.
For these pause people though to throw u off a play, that is espn's fault for being so stupid to allow it during game time and not just in breaks of play. Pauseing is cheating.

Someone on this topic made note of the various styles that each player uses. I believe it was to this extent - *If you wish to play online, you must deal with the many styles that each of the ten-thousand+ players will adopt for their own.* This couldn't be more true. I mean c'mon, for christ sake! Too many one-timers? Deal with it. Play some defense. Too little one-timers, and too many "money-goals"? Deal with it. Play some defense. All the different styles create a unique gaming experience. That's the point of playing online. As for pausing the game to show stats to prove a point... well, i think average person knows how ridiculous and childish this is... but that's part of the baggage that comes with playing online also - many styles, and many pseudo-sim players who believe that their style is the only correct way. Oh well. Keep having fun kids! I know i will.

Hah, wow this is an old post. Made back in the 2k4 days, a game where the only exploit goals were easily stopped...
