Offensive Enforcers/Team Rivalries

During the years of your franchise have any of you seemed to develop any constant rivalries?

I play as Minnesota and it seems that in any game against the Cannucks, there are at least 3 or 4 fights. The same goes for the Flames.

In addition, who do you think is the number one offensive enforcer in NHL2k6? For some reason Sandy McCarthy seems to be a valuable assest to my team. He can lay down the law and scores goals. It was the same for me in 2k5.

I dont know about forward, but the most value on D for me is Kasparaitis. Hes slow but he is leading the norris trophy watch ahead of Aucoin, McCabe, Schneider, Zhitnik,Hamrlik...........

i always pick Kasparaitis and Messier up from NYR when I start a franchise

I play with the Red Wings in my season, I didn't have a fight until I played against the Blackhawks at the end of October. All the other games against other teams no fights, but when I faced the Blackhawks the first time I had 2 fights each period. If there is anything like Team Rivalries I think this made it true.

I edit everybody in the league and have a system for guys who fight. So I usually dont have a problem getting into a scrap or two a game. But I do notice some games are chippier than others. Not sure about the rivalry thing. But I think it just has to do with the team's play style and who is dressed. In my franchises I usually averge about 2 scraps per game. It all depends on the other team. If they have some gritty guys I get into a few scraps. If they are a bunch of Euros, then I may get into 1 if the matchup is right. I havent had a game yet where there hasnt been a challenge, but I only fight if the matchup is realistic. I always hated it in past years when a heavyweight fights a guy like Zednik or Halpern.
