Bought this game yesterday afternoon. This is by far the best Poker game available today. It has everything a hard core Card player could wish for, includeing percentage stats of a person like preflop, folds etc. which is always available with a push of a button, this has every kind of info you could need to learn on how someone plays. The only thing they didnt include was the persons online leaderboard number other then that everything is there. You can also do facial expressions with the left thumb stick which is cool and to make this game more enjoyable is that you can create your own games with or with out wild cards. The graphics are very good & gameplay is the fastest of any poker game out there. This game also migrates to a new host when the origianl host leaves. There are however a few bugs that need to be fixed one is with the money / leader board. in open tables when you go broke or are ahead and go to leave 8 out of 10 times it will tell you if you leave now you will lose your progress. meaning anything won or lost will not be saved to your profile. The other issuse i came accross is buying new items for my player something went haywire giveing me a hat for free which i could not this also had a efect buying or viewing glasses as if attempted to scroll through the sungalsses I would get a dirty or damaged disk error. Forceing me to reset. I had to delete that online player profile loseing all my stats and coins. Hope they fix these problems soon as this is a great game & Yes as a hard core poker player I would pay $50 for a game like this if it that had no problems. but as is its well worth 20. peace

Glad you can at least get online. I can't even get online with this game. I've enjoyed the offline season mode so far. I just wish I could get online. Every other game I own works perfectly, this one, I can't get online with. I don't know why this is, if its 2k's servers or what the deal is. It's quite annoying though, was planning on playing with a few friends tonight and I can't get online.

Offline play is excellent. AI is good and adaptive and the graphics are good. Online is okay but it can suck a lot of the time. They need to fix the stat saving and the dropped games, it's getting annoying when I win 30k in a room after 2 or 3 hours of playing and then either having the game drop or leaving and it doesn't save.

wow i just got the game lastnight. played it for about 8 hours straight. this is without a doubt the best poker game on xbox. lots of options to play around with. the player creation is pretty good not the the best but 10 x better then any other poker game. offline play is just as fun as playing online imo. i had no problems with getting dissconnected from online games or didnt have any problems saving games. the game play itself is very realistic and very balanced. its not like some other poker games when your online and everybody goes "all in" on every hand. this poker game makes you want to be more carefull cause you dont want to mess up all your online stats. this game is just plain fun to play. and its just like watching it on tv heh  if i had to give it a rating from 1 - 10 id give it a 8.5 after all its just a poker game .. hehe 8)

aside from the glitches (XBOX) I think it's a great game.
one thing I kinda miss from WCP to this one is not knowing who the host is when it migrates to a new one. I'd like to have the option of leaving the room before a host gets knocked out because 50% of the time, the host fails to migrate to a new person and the session quits thereby losing your bankroll.
The multitable room would have been nice but for $20, I really didn't expect it.
I do like all the stats on the players in my room but with all the glitches on the XBOX version, I don't know how true these are for us XBOX gamers.
The different shirts, pants etc you can get with your trophy chips is a nice twist to the game too!

This and 2 other games I own had a freeze up problem. I replaced the Xbox DVD drive with A New original Thompson Drive. All my freeze problems are gone & belive it or not all the stats are saveing for me now. Game works fine now. Drive only cost 19.99 plus 7.00 shipping. not sure if 2k games allows people to post web address of places that sell replacement parts for xboxs so i wont give the address. However you can do a google search look for a site that starts with the name " Terasc " ordered it friday night had it in my hands monday morning. :) anywho all games includeing this one work fine now. peace

sounds like a good idea ducky but this is the only game I have problems with so I doubt it's a harddrive issue ... even if it was ... why didn't 2K or Microsoft run a QC check before releasing it  they keep claiming it's a firewall issue ... yeah right!
I have only been playing Sit n Go's since they give a "real" poker aspect to the game. With no saving problems I might add.

I also picked up the game last night and couldn't stop playing it. I played a few games online but really got into the single player mostly. The tournament structure for single play is excellent and the character creation screen is pretty cool and robust.
I did see that world championship poker 2 was released today and it also sounds pretty cool. I'm sure I'll be picking up that one to, "poker head i am :)" and giving it a go. From what I hear it might give this game a run for the money. You start out in your basement and work your way up. It's pretty slick to that if you go on a losing streak and have to pawn your hard earned shwag to survive, lol.
I guess the verdict is still out on wcp2 but wpt poker is kick *** without a doubt!!!!

this game is worth getting, the best poker game out there, the game play is so real like, the AI is a challange to play, they dont always go all in, you have to earn your chips, unlike other games.... also the online play is awsome works perfect on my PS2, i have every poker game out on the Ps2 an dthis is by far hands down the best... go it its $20 price tag, heck i would even pay $30 for it......
