Can anyone help me improve my 15% free throw shooting numbers? I ALWAYS make the first 2 or 3 of the game, but then it gets harder and harder and so "touchy" that it's a miracle if I make one. I've lost 5 or 6 games with 10 point leads down the stretch because the cpu keeps fouling me and I can't make a free throw. I've adjusted my team to give them all the hightest FT rating, I've practiced, etc. I am playing on Xbox and the triggers are too sensitive. Help!

all i can say man is practice. I have the Box version also and i use to shoot that low. Now i shoot in the 40s to 60s depending on my school.

Somebody else said this worked, and i tried it and it helped a lot. If you have a PS2 (i dunno if it works on XBox). Move the control sticks to the top, them rotate them towards the middle while still pressing up. I have been gtting much better shooting percentages that way.

i dont find free throws that hard, it just takes a little time to get used to thats all. After a couple games or so, my free throw shooting was up to about 85-90%.

From What I can tell, you just hold the button down to begin the shot process and release the button just as the player flicks his wrist to release the shot. How easy this is to execute depends on the skill of the player at the line and the difficuty setting for gameplay.
I love this system!
I got the game yesterday and I am 1-4 with VMI on the All-Conference difficulty. Definitely this game is a challenge for me.

I know this may sound cheesy, but use it to get the feel for it. If you go into options and turn on the free throw guide, I think it's under presentation, that helps a lot. There's a gray circle where you need to release the ball and it works. Use it just for a little while, then turn it off when you think you know what you're doing.

They arent too bad, i shoot about 82% just try to watch the player when he would release it in real life. If you've ever shot a free throw before heck just when it gets to the top of his release let it go. Try praticing it a bit for like even 10 minutes, you'll be surprized how much that will help when you just get the "feel" for it.

Go to presentation and turn on free throw meter
OR
Go to gameplay and turn on free throw assistance
meter: screen to show you when to shoot
assistance: you do nothing except push a face button

I just started playing 2 days ago but my free throw shooting is up in the 60's or 70's I think. Why don't you try turning the free throw meter on?
