how bout we rub it in that stevens deserved his concussion for the amount of cheap hits to the head hes laid on ppl over the yrs...
or how bout those consecutive losses to the flyers...
or how bout why did you feel the need to bring up a month old post about a month old game?
:P

1. Due to his miniscule number of elbowing penalties (not to mention charging, roughing, etc.), "cheap shots to the head" is hardly an appropriate description of one of the greatest defensemen ever to play the game. Could he have let up sometimes? Sure, but the hits (99% of them) are all legal. If you don't want to get hit, don't put your head down.
2. Consecutive playoff series wins as well. The Devils have owned the Flyers for about a decade now.
3. Yes

Do you know who the defending champs are?
I do :)
P.S. Do you know what team was beat out 1st round by the Wild?
I do :)

I also remember when Devils were unable to make a playooff for 9 straight years. Every team got its Star moments
Remember Edmonton?

I seem to remember the Rangers not making the playoffs a while back... o wait, they are still not making the playoffs,
how many years in a row has it been now?

7 years now. 2 years less than Devils in their "great years".

Yeah, but the Devils never had the ridiculous payroll and "star talent" that the Rangers have had, nor have they been in the NHL for so long a time.

Not that I like the Rangers, but watch out for them in a few years. They got awesome young talent in Balej, and Pock, lead by Jagr, in about 3 years if they get a decent goalie they will be a force to be wrecking with!
YaY!! My 100th post!!!

they will likely have decent goaltending when/if blackburn will/can come back from his injury since i think hes only 22 or around that age.

Blackburn is out for a long time - he will undergo EXPLORATION surgery (they will cut him open just to see why his nerve doesnt regenerate).
This new goalie - Stephen Valiquette -he shows some good skills.
He made 38 saves in game with Philly!!!

NYR-NJD fans arguing? A PHI fan needs to come in, so here I am!!!
Rangers-You got Blackburn for the future, but you stink now, and you will until Glen Sather fires himself at everything.
Devils-About a week or two ago, you were fighting for the 7th spot. Look up in the third spot, ah, the Flyers...

oops you forgot to tell us about why mighty Philly lost to "stinky" Rangers!
May be Rangers not the best at the time - but I can 100% tell you who was the "stinky" team yesterday - and it wasnt Rangers.

I really appreciate that huge Rangers win vs Philly which gave the Bruins and opertunity to jump into 2nd, and guess what!? We took it!

When did the Flyers win their last cup? Or beat the Devils in the playoffs?
Exactly

Ooh, the Rangers beat the Flyers on Saturday, for the first and last time of the year!
Hey, how many times have the Flyers played the Devils in the playoffs? 1, 2? Cechmanek played like Corey Scwab in the playoffs.
By the way NJ, who won the last 3 meetings, and the season series?

It's happened before, but it don't matter. Only the playoffs do.
