If the NHL does in fact fold up this upcoming season, do you think ESPN and ABC and other hockey broadcasting networks will fill in the time slots with College Hockey?

No way, they would obviously put basketball or college basketball over it. Why would anyone want to watch hockey...
Of course I would watch the college hockey, but they need the money, and it's their channel, so they can do whatever they feel I guess.

yah never know, up here in Canada we get the odd NCAA hockey game on. Headline sports cover a game a week, friday nights usually
