warden while i hate the rangers..mainly bcuz everything i stand for i stay neutral about certain things. Purinton(or was it petrovicky...dont kno it started w/ P thats all i remember)is a giant sissy. Seriously i saw the highlight of him breaking the "code of conduct" that players have for each other when it comes to fighting when he didnt let cairns get his gloves off and get ready to fight by sucker punching him. So then in this game cairns goes looking for him. When he finally get near him he turtles up like a woman and lays there. Then flicks his hand after they were pulled apart. I hope who ever plays the rangers next destroys him, and this is the reason why they should get rid of the instigator rule...no one will go right after him now bcuz they dont wanna put there team down a man

once again. You all pointing to some secondary things. He did this - he did that.

My point is. During 2 seasons - 12 games - NYI cant beat the Rangers.
Record is 10-0-2. I am not saying this team is good and this team is bad , I am not arguing about NYR players class or anything else.

I am sure that one game episode cant affect outcome of all 12 games (I can point you to some low-class hits in NYI vs NYR games from both sides). That is why these games are so fun to watch and so important to win.

Its RIVALRY at its best. I dont care if Rangers blew millions, I dont care that star players cant make to playoff. I am ready to forgive all this just cause they didn't lose to our #1 rival team.

Once again - this topic is not about class, skill or anything else. Its about NYI unable to beat Rangers in 2 seasons in a row.

I wasnt saying that the rangers won bcuz of what happened(although that gave em like a 7 min PP or something). Im saying that was extremely *****ish. Seriously be a friggin man for chris sake, i know ppl take cheap shots around the league but 99% of the time there not fight related, theyll just give a dirty hit or something. Not nail a guy in the face while hes dropping his gloves and preparing to fight. Secondly if your gonna do that expect to get in a fight w/ that player the next time you play him and dont turtle up like a woman and then skate away when the officials break it up. Also this is a great example why the NHL needs to get rid of the instigator rule. Lastly everyone knew cairns was gonna try to fight him, so the officials and everyone shoulda let them fight till they seperated. And if the other guy happens to just lay down and turtle let him take the beating if hes gonna be like that, you cant expect to do what he did and there be no reprocussions. Maybe claude lemuiex will come back and nail him from behind face first into the boards like draper yrs ago(at least this guy will have deserved it)
