Please report all bugs in this thread.

BUGS IN NHL 2K6 (xbox 360)... so far


1) Custom soundtracks don't end when started. They continue playing after the puck is in play.

2) Player pictures on stat overlays don't always match the player's name (i.e., Pierre Turgeon's face was used for Joe Sakic's season stats !?). This is especially evident with historic teams or in season mode.

3) Franchise mode is corrupted (see other thread regarding this).

4) Game stutters sometimes when a goal goes in, or a penalty is called.


2K Sports SHOULD RELEASE A PATCH for NHL 2K6! I hope they do.

My goalie went off to the side for no reason leaving the net open
icing call after taking a faceoff in THEIR zone.

So far I have had the faceoffs occur to the left of my players. There are blinking grey circles to the side..then the puck is dropped and you have to go and get it. Other times I have noticed the guys taking the faceoffs get stuck in one spot and don't move until you switch to another player. I have played (and won) 2 games online...in my third game, the game froze up and the idiot left me negative feedback for being unsportsmanlike or something (we were tied 1-1 in the first 4 mins of the first period). Since then I have had Xbox Live disconnect and/or take FOREVER to load up..and then 2 more games ended in "Connection problems". I doubt my Xbox 360 is defective as myself and a friend were playing Gun and King Kong for 7 hours straight tonight. I haven't jumped into Franchise mode yet, but I seriously hope that that isn't flawed. Since NHL 2K5, I have been HOOKED on Franchise mode, and have bought 2K6 for the Xbox and Xbox 360. If these stupid bugs aren't fixed...I may have to forget about buying NHL 2K7. As if losing my franchise after 28 years in 2k5 due to the "injury" bug wasn't bad enough....there seems to be some more problems in the 360 version of 2k6 :(

Another one today whe I 1st switched on the vibration in the controller options it did strange things like Pro control activate everytime I passed to a player switching players upon faceoffs and the total pass thing flashing on and off re started the xbox that fixed it

I played through 10 or so games today and tried a few scrimmages, but wasn't impressed with the way the game would freeze up. Either at the load screen or once it loaded it up, it doesn't matter.
One or two bugs is an understandable circumstance, but when you combine so many together you end up with a game that just isn't worth anything. I'm throwing in the towel this year and swapping it for something else.
You can tell that the crew working on it were being asked to do way too much with too few people and so little time. At least that's what I hope happened.
Perhaps next year.
I'm just glad that the NHL is playing this year or I'd be very unhappy.

Hard to say is it a bum copy? Is it your 360? Im playing a dream team ladder with a created Nordiques team with a few CAP and all renamed players. I dont really care for DT but apperantly you get the use of their Unis for created teams once you complete it!. It loads up fine the minor glitches I mentioned have happened so far. You gotta love buggy Gates though on a local radio station yesterday the broadcasters were mentioning how there were complaints with some 360's regarding error messages, temp problems and such. All good ol buggy had to say was "With any new system thats par for the course." All I can say is I am glad I purchsed the longer warranty.

I noticed that there are loading glitches like the controller thing I mentioned and after that the Nordique logo was not showing on my created team jerseys but then ran fine when I re loaded the game who knows if this game or system related.
