1. Get rid of slamzone as the default option for online play. Cheaters who have all day to play lag on purpose to create more slamzone opportunities.

2. Fix all the bugs and glitches that were in MLB 2k5, or better yet, make sure the game is bug free. Games played that aren't recorded, stats, pass ball, tone down on errors by fielders.

3. Improve ball physics. In MLB 2K5, most hits went directly to the pitcher, 1b, 3b, lf, or rf. It made it very boring. Every hit was predictable. Make pitches look more realistic. It was hard to tell a curveball from a slider. Every pitch looked the same, or so it seemed.

4. Tone down on those crazy out of nowhere catches by fielders. The speed burst is a great idea, just tone it down a little. Tone down the distance a player can dive. Make robbing a hr ball harder. In 2k5, you can easily rob hr balls.

5. 2k5's graphics were the best seen in a baseball game ever. I highly doubt they can do any better on the current generation consoles. Improving graahics on the next generation consoles is a must.

6. Improve swing system. This goes hand in hand with ball physics. I don't think there was anything wrong with the swing system. 2k took a page out of MVP with the introduction of the new swing system in 2k5. It's just that the ball physics wasn't right. If they can somehow fix this and the aforementioned, MLB 2K6 will be the best baseball game ever made.

Getting rid of slamzone for online play is the most ridiculous thing that I have ever read....Slamzone is the only thing that keeps a pitcher honest. Playing online you tend to encounter some crybabies that think you should pitch all strikes....THAT IS NOT SIM.....the thing that makes this game good is that it has a good balance of pitching and hitting and there is good risk/reward for both aspects of the game. You need slamzone to insure that the pitcher can't be predictable and simply throw to the blue zones on the hitters grid. By providing us with the hot-n-cold zones on the grid, they take the game to the next level, however, in doing this, there has to be some type of safeguard that will prevent the pitcher from throwing into those zones on every pitch, SLAMZONE is that safeguard. All you have to do is mix up your pitches like a real pitcher does and you won't let up too many SZ's. taking that out of the game would be the dumbest thing that they could ever do. This game without SZ makes for a waaay too simplistic game....

TRUE, I hate lag enduced slam zones, thats the problem, with slam zone, if you miss the timing of the sliders, then, you loose, and if this happens, because the tool your playing has a 56k connection, then your screwed, bottom line, there NEEDS to be an option to turn off slamzone for ranked and unranked games online, simple as that.

no, how bout an automated thing where if ones connection is below a set bandwidth, SlamZone will automatically be turned off

yeah as much as thats a good idea, I doubt they would manipulate the code to do that, but good call though;

They should just make games with and without SlamZone both ranked games. If you want, have them in different leaderboard sections.

I think if you miss the crosshairs, it shouldn't be an automatic slam-zone. However, if you guess the pitch, then you could still be put into slamzone.

That way, lag doesn't effect the outcome of slamzone, and those pitching will still need to mix up their pitches.

pretty good idea...especially if you didn't let the cursor go small for a lil extra on the pitch...i think that if you did let it go small then a SZ would be ok....

I think taking out slamball would be great...didn't like it and it only seemed to take out the feeling of baseball for guessing the pitch...sure thats the benefits but it isn't basebal..

Slam Zone is not a bad idea, but the execution of it isn't that great.

Has anyone played World Series Baseball 98 for the Saturn? This game is still considered one of the greatest baseball games ever, and for good reason. It had a lot of great innovations, and one of them was the "guess the pitch" feature. Kind of like 2K5, but when you guess the pitch, the curser would blink red, and you would still have to time the hitting.

The problem with slam-zone, is that there is no timing to hit the ball. It does it for you. If the pitch is missed and/or you guess the pitch, you should be locked onto the ball, and still should have to be able to time the swing. This gives far more different hits, which will also increase the playability in the fielding aspect. WSB 98 did it right.

IMO they should just get rid of slamzone.

They should get rid of slamzone, it helps players who can't hit in the game. Theres a reason all the good leagues DON'T use it
