Is this really coming to the Gamecube?

If so, thank you, 2K sports. I can't say how frustrating it is to be limited in my selection of realistic Gamecube sports games. Lately it's either EA or nothing, and I usually end up choosing nothing. Heck, I even purchased NHL 2K3 just a few weeks ago because I wanted a game that played like hockey -- the game itself is absolutely great and much better than any of EA's hockey offerings.

Are there any plans to release any more 2K sports games on Gamecube? I know the system is pretty much on its last legs, but I think it would be amazing to have NBA or NHL come to the system one last time.

I think they only did it cuz there the mass MLB game producer now seeing how they copped that liscense, I'm not that sure about the other sports though, it would be nice though.

I believe they are supporting the other game systems because VC is no longer with Sega. Sega dropped Gamecube because they couldn't pull enough sales on the platform. When you're nearily bankrupt, you have to do whatever possible to stay alive.

Now that VC is with Take Two, Take Two can provide the funding for their games to be on all platforms. Take Two really wants to grab a huge share of the sports market, and releasing on more platforms, will assure that their branding will get more recognized.

I'm glad the PSP is getting some love now. Would have been nice to see NBA 2K6 or CH2K6 on it also. :(
