Disc read errors

I got this game about two months ago. I've always had a small issue of Disc read errors. Only with this game. But I ignored it. Till recently I started to play this game online. Due to getting Xbox live for a year. Now the disc read errors have started to show up constantly. It's getting really bad. I am playing then suddenly, I get kicked off and this black screen with green text will come up "Your disc is dirty" or something like that. I love the game. But I almost want to take the disc and whip it across the room. Or go and get another Poker game.

Just to clear things up. This is the only game my xbox has issues with. Every other game I own runs perfect.

Check your disc for any scratches or blemishes. Even small ones can sometimes cause problems. I had a game a few years ago that was in mint condition with one very minor scratch and it never worked right again. It's strange that some games can get very scratched up and work fine yet others that are nearly perfect have problems.

Also, just curious, how old is your XBOX? I know someone that has an older XBOX and lately has been having problems with the "disc read errors." My XBOX is only a year old and I never remember seeing that error message. If all else fails take the game back and say the game doesn't work. They should give you the same exact game.
