I'm a new member here, and I've enjoyed most a the posts.

I came today to see what you guys were thinking about the Kovalev to Les Canadiens trade. I was in disbelief when I read the posts. Our moderator had again made everything he could to keep this board "clean". And instead of having people exchange ideas we're stuck again with this "idea cop" that wants everything to be non offensive to anybody. Warden wants us to stick to facts only. Here are some facts.

The rangers are the richest team in the NHL.

They have a bunch of all stars.

They have a GM that built one of the greatest dynasti in hockey.

They have not played a single playoff game in 7 years.

Brian Leeds, the funniest ESPN fantasy hockey correspondent has not written a column in 3 days. He covers the NYR and his columns are more and more depressing (he admits it in his last column).

Those are all facts Warden and I think I'm allowed to come to the conclusion that the New York Rangers (edited by Mod).

I'm french and I went to check my webster to make sure I understood what suck meant. Here is the definition:

slang : to be objectionable or inadequate <our lifestyle sucks -- Playboy> <people who went said it sucked -- H. S.

Tell me Warden, how is it that the new york rangers are "adequate" ?

I got nothing against anyone on this forum posting facts.

However, rules are clear on this - NO FLAMING.
Read it here again
http://www.espnvideogames.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8099

Flaming
Material that is knowingly defamatory, illegal, abusive threatening or harassing is strictly prohibited. As with anything, please use good common sense when posting. Posts containing personal attacks on another user will be edited/deleted (this includes posts such as "nflgamer234 is cheese...”)

Cheese is not a bad word by definition. However, in this contest it is considering as a flaming. Same with word SUCK.
You can say "My defense suck in 2k4" and it will be OK.
You can say "Your defense suck" and that would be flaming.

Therefore, if you post "RANGERS SUCK" - I will post you a warning. If you start argue with me about this warning - you gonna get banned.

But you can post "new york rangers are inadequate" as much as you want.

P.S. If you think that I act this way just cause its NYR - try to flame any other team. You will get same outcome.

P.S.#2 someone who joined forum on March 3 and "enjoyed most of the post" but desided to make the only post here.... Yeah right....You not gonna fool me....

Warden I hope your not insinuating the guy that started this thread is me...

As for the flaming...I don't get it...and I ain't getting into it...Seems everyone has there own ideas about what exactly 'Flaming' is.....but only one opinion counts,,,,Personally I haven't seen any flaming in either of those two threads. (as per what the ESPN board defines as flaming)

As for the trade....Good trade for both...MTL didn't lose anything off the current roster while picking up a once dangerous sniper, hopefully he can find his past form. We all know the position of the Rangers...hopefuly their rebuilding process will be quick.

I read in the quoted rule on flamming that you cannot write "Posts containing personal attacks on another user "

You finished your post by writing "P.S.#2 someone who joined forum on March 3 and "enjoyed most of the post" but desided to make the only post here.... Yeah right....You not gonna fool me....

Would you explain what you are implying ?

I bought an Xbox in december for my sons bithday. I bought ESPN 2004 hockey at the end of january from a friend. I came here to find some hints at the gameplay. It was very helpful and I thank you and everybody for the help.

By making my comment I just wanted you to realize that people come here for fun and to exchange ideas on hockey. I understand that their has to be some rules and guidelines but my opinion is that you are at times really too strict and you kill a lot a the fun exchanges that could take place here.

I would like to take this moment to praise Glen Sather. I think he his a GOD and his evil plan is perfect: get a cast of allstars and trade them all to Canada for some prospects and draft picks.

We love you Glen, keep on the goodwork. What is your plan for Bettman ?

I do everything "by the book". That is how I do my job. It may be hard to understand for those who never been in army and knows little about discipline.

I follow the rules of this forum. If you dont like any rules - post so in right forum. If rules will be changed - I will change my approach to the problem.

P.S. You say "people come here for fun and to exchange ideas on hockey". So statment RANGERS SUCK is you mature way to exchange ideas of hockey? Forum becomes immature place as soon as kids starting flame hockey teams.

I think it was a personnal attack, just as your latest answer had some personnal attacks: you don't know anything about me being "disciplined" or not or being in the army or not. And I'm definitely not a kid. Immature may be, I'll grant you that. Are you ? If you want us to stick to the rules and you don't follow them...
